    • RE: Tappering?

      Jean
Thanks for that tip. That is what I love about SketchUp just when think you can't do something someone has found a way. I tried it out and that is the exact idea I was going for. Excellent tip!!!
      Thanks,
      Doug

    • RE: Tappering?

Yeah wasn't sure if that would make sense I will try when I have time to post a photo. But the jist is trying to get all the cooling find around a cylinder head to taper all at once together so they look like they are uniformly tapering.

    • Tappering?

Hi I hope I state this question right. I am trying to create a radial engine head. I was wondering how you can create all those fins around the cylinder head to tapper from a wide hole to a narrow hole all at once. So the fins reduce at a good ratio, togehter. I thought I could do it some how with the scaling tool but no luck.
      Thanks,
      Doug

    • Curved cones

Hi I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for tutorials or plugins that will help making complex curved surfaces. The kind of surface I would like to make is like the nose cone of an airplanes. Thanks if you can help.

    • Copy component and rotate

Hi first of all I am new to the forum, so hello all. My question is this I have been playing with circular surfaces. Is there a way to make copies of a component and rotate them around the surface so thet equa-distant from each other. The example is bolts on a flange.
      Thanks,
      Doug
