I had a nasty flicker when I selected a tool and moving it across the screen. Flicker was really bad when using the orbit tool. Disabled "Hardware acceleration" and hey presto!!" problem solved
Ok! Very cool videos Jeff and Dave!
But sorry for this time in this particular case...
I believe that I am more speedy and more simple!
You right I use plugin but just one and indispensable in the Toolbox!
The genious Inverse Selection by TIG! By Right Click
Only curvated face is duplicated not the volume!
Edit : I verify this morning because that was just theoric this night!
One of the curvated face must be "inverse white / blue" and the 2 curvated faces must be "Intersect with the model" ! And of course Rectangle Selection must be left to right!

Don't forget that in the past I have made "speedy challenge" Sketchup / Moi3D
"without plugin"
(of course I have losted at each time because Moi is unbeatable!
It's maybe for that I use now plugins! :
If you are interested : Moi 22 seconds by PaQ! SU 40 seconds and playing as Horowitz!

Did you fix the permissions for correct folder and install into that ?
Sketchup.find_support_file('Plugins)
Also did you set these FULL permissions to affect all of the folder's contents [cogs dropdown...]
Did you get and install the Lib that the tool requires ?
http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TT_Lib
That's not a problem with SketchUp. It's a problem in the way you're doing it. If you copy from one while and use Paste in the other file, you have to click to drop the copy somewhere. Otherwise SketchUp doesn't know where to put it. You could use Edit>Paste in place and the copy will be pasted into the same relative position as in the first file. Uninstalling and re-installing isn't a solution to your problem.
I think your modified textures have to be saved in some way as unique textures because of their different color assignments. I did it once, recently, but I stumbled on the desired result, rather than remembered the procedure. Do a search say in Google on keywords: Sketchup create unique textures. That is what I will be doing at some point. Or, help.sketchup.com search "textures"
If you have SketchUp v8 > M2 [and v8M5 is the newest... so you probably do !] - or ANY v2013 etc... the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button takes a chosen plugin's RBZ archive and installs it for you into the main Plugins folder - without the need for you to wear out any brain cells pondering what to do with it...
If you have >=v8M2... and also have the SketchUcation PluginStore Toolset installed, then its dialog will let you AutoInstall Plugins/Extensions directly into SketchUp without even downloading the RBZ...
And... unlike the native installer... it also allows you to install into your own custom-plugins folders...
It also has an Archive Installer [run off the menu] to auto-install the few plugins that come as RBZ/ZIP archives which are not directly listed in the very comprehensive PluginStore database... and also other useful tools like its Plugins and Extensions Managers, its Plugins-Uninstaller etc...
So... well worth a little research on SCF...
Nice job. It's going to be a wild ride!
Thanks for the note Jeff. Looking forward to seeing a skate park with "THE SLIDE". Call it "Slide Park". Wish I had the time and smarts to learn Rhino. Looks fun.
You might also have a look at this. There's a new plugin in the works that will make it easy to set the drawing window to exactly the pixel dimensions or ratio you want.
ArchiCAD for kitchen design sound a bit like using a sledge hammer to crack a nut!
Ex ArchiCAD user here. I decided SU was far more fun for designing and modelling and still do; but as you may be reading elsewhere the "pro" Layout aspect has many frustrations, and some benefits. Unfortunately for Layout commercial pressure has taken over and I now export my views as dwg and xref them into AutoCAD LT due to file sharing compatibility issues with dwg (Do a search on "DWG Export" and you will find a list of the issues I had). I really liked a lot about Layout but the frustrations of achieving what I needed to do were costing me, not the client, money.
There are alternatives to AutoCAD LT e.g. Dassault Systeme's Draftsight which is free if Layout doesn't meet your 2D requirements.
That is the error message you get when trying to install an old version of the plugin. Where did you get it!
Go to the PluginStore at the top of the page and install the latest version from there. Also install the latest version of Libfredo. Better still, install the pluginstore tool itself and auto install the plugins you want from within sketchup.
Oh not large in actual distance. I am sorry, I was talking in detail. The model is about 500'.
I just meant it was getting large in size/file size. House that has full details including all framework, drywall, carpet, tile, trim, etc.
Probably pretty typical or actually conservative for most of you here.

You will also build some value as you build clientele and reputation (oddly, not necessarily skill).
Quite right. Skill only helps to be more efficient, so you can charge more for less of your time. Skill does not necessarily bring in the jobs, but does help retain clients.
Too many people out there on the internet have beautiful work shown in their portfolio [not always theirs ] so it's VERY hard to compete for new work online. You must work your connections if you are to make a go of it - probably 90 - 95% of my work has been repeat client and through networking.

Guys manipulate your windows the way it wants to manipulate you. You can also do this on macs.
Sorry for Portuguese control panel, it happens I was born in a comma/dot+comma world.
