This really isn't a feature request, it's a bug report. Here is a visual of what Rosketch is talking about. Two components in SU, the right one has been flipped along the red. When exported as an .stl the resulting file is unprintable, as shown here in red. [image: 6iYs_Stlexportfail..gif]

hi - I use JHS Powerbar for this purpose. Included are the two drop tools by R. Wilson which either drop objects onto the geometry below (no matter how shaped!) or onto any desired Z-level. @Irteza What Plugin are you referring to ?*** DAE export is a standard built-in format ?? You can set up how the exported file is made using the Options in the File>Export[3d] dialog... This is a very old thread... Please [re]explain what you are doing step-by-step... ***I see you double posted ! Again that's an old thread... Try running it with the Ruby Console open and report errors... I suggest you consolidate your posted into the plugin's thread...

a great subject ,one I have many ideas on and I am collecting related posts. the reality is SU is a very interactive program ,I refer to that as "good flow" thats between my mind and the next action relavent to tools and menu's. As programs get older they seem to loose this,and become cluttered , therefor act now, . There is some connection to a China plugin managing plugins ,tho this to on second brief look was a re worked mass toolbar,, I am working on the idea of chosen Master Tools that carry any user chosen combination as a drop-down, each drop down button can subsequently carry any related tools or the rest of it's plugin collective[user choice], the only help I have found to keep my toolbar minimal as an example is the animator,prefereces allows user to select buttons to show on toolbar , the others are available when in use anyway,, , the plugins still reside in the tool shed or on line ,,there is another post somewhere with a small active user tool-kit attatched ,by choice, to the current tool ,,similar to hot-keys ,,and fast edit numbers,,Jon,,,so far https://image.ibb.co/gPq8FF/123108ts1rms1lr3zc3z7b_jpg_thumb.jpg

Great, thanks for the recommendations, I'm starting to get used to Sketchup (I got it a while ago, but lost hope after a couple minutes, now I'm back at it) and it's as awesome as I wanted it to be, but the cluttered screen was definitely annoying.

i don't want to push it - but it would be cool if we could hover over the row of tabs and tilt the mouse wheel to force a scroll.

What is "Parallel Perspective"? SketchUp has Parallel Projection and Perspective for camera options. Please explain what it is you actually want to disable. The camera doesn't automatically switch from Parallel Projection to Perspective. @unknownuser said: Every move made defaults PP mode.. I know how to to them, I'm making some prototypes for something I would like to laser cut, but I need to make LOTS of these little boxes, and scaling makes a mess with the walls, and my OCD wants all fitting to be of precise length XD, normally I make a prototype a day (cus I change my mind a lot about how to sort things), and have to fill like 8/9 of these boxes with lots of joints, so I was thinking of speeding up things a little bit. I found a couple of plugins that kind of do the same thing as the one you showed, but all seem to need me inputting measurements, which by my math require tons of decimal places that seem to destroy the programs, or measures are so small that the program just didn't know what to do. I'll see if I can get some cash to but the plugin. Thanks for you help.
