One of the problems you have is wanting it to be private. You need some way of determining those that are allowed in, usually done by signing into an account.
Photobucket lets you create a private album which is accessible via password. You can certainly use that to share privately for viewing and downloading, but I suspect you will still need an account to be able to add images to it.
Have a go here

password toboboand see if you can see my dancing friend and if you can add an image of your own.
Thanks, I can log in no problem but you do need an account upload. but you can log on with Facebook.
I can see you dancing friend, thanks for the link.

Congrats, Toby.
What about Flicker?
Thanks Dan.
I think with Flickr you need to have an account to upload photos. I was hoping to avoid that sort of thing.

Google+ lets you share with certain people via "circles".
Again people have to have an account, but thanks for the ideas guys.
I'm getting remarried this May and I am looking for a site where guests can upload their digital photos for me and the Mrs to download and also for the others guests to look at.
The first wedding, we laid out a fortune in disposable cameras and then a fortune getting them developed. As 7 years ago digital cameras weren't that popular.
So any suggestions for a site where people can upload without having to have an account and where I can make it private for guests only.
Thanks in advance

I have a few components imported this way... but I dont think i have been doing it right... I think i have been editing them inside of my model. I think what you are saying is to create or edit them in their own model space then update my main model? How does that work? Do I have to re import the component when after I edit it? How do I "up date" it? Thanks!
When you create the component right click and select 'save as' on the context menu.
Then when you have updated it separately, go to your main model and right click on the component again, on the context menu there should be an option 'reload'.
You will be asked to select which file you want to use to reload with.
Select the component and click ok.
The component in the model should update, the time it takes to reload will depend on the size of the file your are loading.

Using components effectively can help in many ways.
Not only does it help speed up the program it speeds up the modelling itself.
Plus you can work on components as a separate model and just update them in your full model.
That is exactly how I work on my larger models, like the external reference system AutoCAD uses. I have a main model but save out my components into separate files. Work on them individually and reload them. Plus I work in monochrome until I need to texture. It is the last job to do with the models before rendering.
Ok let’s start with the native SU before we get onto the VRay.
Couple of things:
You need to pay attention to the front and back faces. (front – white , back – blue).
VRay materials should only go on the front faces. The front faces are for external surfaces so with a brick wall for example, the outside (the bit you see) should be white and the internal (the bit you don’t) should be blue. http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=115427
Your model needs to be all white inside the church. The attached file (stage feb 24 edit Monochrome.jpg) shows what faces need to be changed.
You need to keep up with purging the unused materials, components and styles. I ran a purge and the attached file (Purge.jpg) shows how much unused stuff was in it. The files is greatly affected, the file you sent was 20mb and the purged file is 4mb.
On to the projectors screens:
The reason they weren’t working is because they had been applied to ‘back faces’. I have attached some file that should help explain it.
This image show that on is not working but the other is. (Screen 1.jpg), the corresponding SU export shows the one not working is applied to a blue face. (Monochrome 1.jpg)
As you can see in (screens.jpg) they are both working and the SU export shows that they are both front faces (monochrome 2.jpg)
I have attached the reduced file as well as the packed material.
Hope that helps.
He was a great help to loads of people and an inspiration

I found the same problem a few minutes ago. Strangely though, I found if I hit the down arrow, then the up arrow twice and finally the down arrow again (let it process in between) I got the correct results. I don't know if the order matters.
Sometimes it does that just be patient with it and try a double up or down arrow.

just as the title states, my emmission material for my tv screens is showing up gray. i also have the picture I want shown, on an emission layer and a diffusive layer. is that right?
i have been confused for the better part of a day.will gladly send someone my drawing to figure it out. I'm using SU v.7
Grant can you post the files so i can take a look?
or email it to me (PM me an I'll send you the address)
I have had issues with image emissive materials as well. but i managed to solve them (though i can't think of it right now )
I have recently had to reload my plugins, and I have found that I'm missing one.
I cant remember the exact name, but it worked like this.
You could select a component and context click,
Under that menu you have an option 'Component definition'
Sub menu 'get definition' and apply 'definition'
It would allow you to replace components quicky with what you defined.
Any ideas?

I've used the Wacom Intuous 3 for years. Absolutely love it. I just bought the new Intuous 5 touch and love it even more. They work really well with SU.
I to have an Intuous 3 and I find it very easy to use. I have set the lower button as 'middle click' and the second button as right click. I combine the tablet with my keyboard, it has sped up my modelling no end. I find it helps with trying to lock onto the right snap point. I also find the precision of the table better than a mouse.
I thought as the world has ended here in the UK (snowmageddon)
I thought I'd share the clearance of my car this evening after i had to leave it over the weekend near work. Not because of the snow but because all rear wheel drive cars getting stuck.
It looks like you need to empty the contents of the RoundCorner 23a - 26 May 11(1) but not any sub folders. and do the same for LibFredo6 folder.
Having had to deal with AutoCAD for a long time, you learn to work within a software's limitations and develope methods of work that allow you to achive the best result, within those limitations.
I produce verified photomontages that uses a GPS with an accuracy of 10mm. SU's visual clipping means I have to set my reference poles beyond the distance that I know will be clipped (mainly guess work). But when I render it out in VRay the clipping is removed.
The arc tool has its limitations but I have learned to work with it. I am not saying we should accept this and other limitations. Because if we did the software would still be at version 1.
Highlighting issues drives improvement.
