When I first launched my webinars I placed the sample video on my website and I wrote the html myself to run it. Now I don't know html formally and despite that I have been making corrections and changes to my webpages for 5 years. Sometimes I get into trouble, like potentially with this video demo page.
Most people had no problem running it but I did get reports, from this forum in fact, that some people wre unable to run it.
I have had a professional revise the code for me but we do need the page tested. If you would be good enough to test the page and report any issues, I would be very grateful. Thanks much guys.

I nearly bought that, but since my Mac is to be used with the TV and be lying around on the TV table I bought the much smaller Apple Bluetooth keyboard and a separate Logitech Bluetooth mouse. Works great. Only thing is that I wish bluetooth mice came in normal sizes, not just notebook size.

In my case I didn't want to disable 3D acceleration, so my only option would be to use only one of the cards. (Btw, anyone wants a cheap 6800 GT?)
Instead I connected the third extra monitor to a spare computer I had, installed the V-Ray render slave on it and set up Synergy so I could control both my computers seamlessly with one set of mouse and keyboard.

I couldn't find any good solution to it. It's a pitty though.

I'd quite like to hear from ATI users with two graphic cards if they have any problems with OpenGL.
And I'd also like to hear from people with two identical grapicscards set up with SLI, maybe they will function as one and not suffer from this issue.

Turning of Hardware Acceleration makes SketchUp not use the graphic cards at all.

I don't have any problems with two monitors connected to one graphics card on neither Geforce or Quadro. That's running XP and Vista. Only problem occurs with two active graphic cards.

@HobbesPDX: No, SketchUp only uses OpenGL.

Awesome. SketchUp meets Revit.

It is not a SketchUp bug. It's the nVidia drivers. You will see this with any OpenGL application.

I experienced this myself when I bought an Geforce 8800 GT to replace my old Geforce 6800 GT. But since I had three monitors available I figured I might as well keep the old one installed and use them both. I figured I could use the old one for my two 17" and use the new card exclusively for my main 22".

But what I found was that any OpenGL application became dead slow. DirectX worked fine.

According to nVidia support it most likely a driver limitation (or bug). I've not received any more info on the matter.

I found that if I reduce my desktop from 4 monitors to 2 (just one video card in use), then start Sketchup, it performs normally.

I had a Geforce 6800 GT and I installed a Geforce 8800 GT and found that my OpenGL application all dropped performance. DirectX powered applications worked fine. Apparently it's a drive issue.

It would be nice to have an option to set that makes SU purge the model when you save. In the same manner it checks for errors.

Will we also get "My posts" a.k.a. egosearch as RSS also?

That'd be nice actually. Getting info when a ruby is updated. If Ruby Depot and Smustard implemented RSS feed of the script upload and updates, it would be a nice feature.

You can do that already, either right-click a component and choose Change Axis, or open the component and rightclick withing the bounding box and choose Change Axis.

What hardware do you have?

3D applications is a bit of hit and miss on Linux. Blender works fine, as it's compiled for linux, but running 3D via Wine is most likely to cause allot of grief. It's one of the main reason why I still use Windows as my main system as it support more 3D applications than any other systems.

In order to make it work on linux you need to find the correct hardware and driver combination.

Mind you that a new version of Ubuntu coming soon at the end of this month. Maybe it provide better support.

I tried this myself, but without any luck. I got an ATI Radeon 9800. I've only heard of nVidia users that had luck with SU under Wine. You might also have to disable desktop composition.

The bottom line is that SU under linux is not stable. Experience might vary.
