It would be really nice to be able to set the axis for groups it affects the way Scale -1 and Flip Along mirrors the group.

Wow! wondering if Google has broken their promise of Sketchup 7?... I was hoping and looking forward in Sketchup 7... Hopefully, I don't have to cancel my google account as a result of that..
How does your Google Account relate to SketchUp?

RE: [REQ] SketchUp LOCK
Isn't it enough to just set the file to Read Only from Explorer? That or SketchUp Viewer? Just seems like a bit of overkill with all this other stuff. Or am I missing something?

RE: Maximum OpenGL resolution
Well, the registry edit is for SketchUp only, not for OpenGL globally. So I was thinking that there might be an Mac equal.

RE: System choice; to Mac or not
FYI> If you plan to render models from SketchUp you'll have more options if you're on a PC system.
Other than that, it's all a matter of what you prefer.

RE: .png + shadow casting
Is taht with any shadow quality, even best?

RE: Control HDRI background in Vray render for Sketchup
As Scott said, if you're going for photoreal then you need much more details. And materials are also very important. Plain SketchUp materials won't cut it. HDRI isn't a magic button that turns all renders fantastic.

RE: Request: Glose gaps from Autocad import
As remus said, put it into perspective to your employer. It takes way much more time for you to do it manually. $20 is nothing. SketchUp Pro is cheap compared to AutoCAD.

RE: Replace texture without remapping
Cheers for that possible workaround. I'll check it out.
Though, I still wish for a better method in SU. The process really needs to be easier.

Replace texture without remapping
Some times after I've mapped a model I want to tweak the texture a little. Only thing is that when I reload the texture, texture with exact same size and proportion, the mapped textures are reset.
I can understand that textures with different proportions could cause problems, but when I replace a texture with another one with exact same size or proportion I expect that the texture mapping is preserved.

RE: dynamic component
I understand what you mean. I asked for the same thing. (http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5556)
We can only hope. -

You could also do a quick model in Blender [or similar] using the fluid simulator and import that into sketchup. Cheating, I suppose, but that's a specific thing that other programs are just much better at [and free, in the case of blender]. Use the right tool for the job.
There's no such thing as cheating, only using the right tool for the right task.

All in all, Flash would be the most cross platform and cross browser solution IMO.
Yup, agreed.

RE: Know how to set the texture coordinate in sketchup 6
You could create a guide point to where you want the texture to have it's origin, then use the Texture->Position tool to move it to that point, the texture handles snaps to geometry.
