Thanks, everyone, for the encouragement. The core is solid, and I'm making progress on some of the feature requests.

I have another community request - I want to have local language support (as much as possible) for Windowizer4, and could use volunteers to translate into the following languages:

[EDIT: text in gray indicates volunteer response]

      Arabic
      Bulgarian
      Catalan
      Chinese
      Croatian
      Czech
      Danish
      Dutch
      Finnish
      French
      German
      Greek
      Hebrew
      Hindi
      Hungarian
      Indonesian
      Italian
      Japanese
      Korean
      Latvian
      Lithuanian
      Norwegian
      Polish
      Portuguese
      Romanian
      Russian
      Serbian
      Slovak
      Slovenian
      Spanish
      Swedish
      Thai
      Turkish
      Ukrainian
      Vietnamese

If you are willing & able to translate into one (or more) of these languages, post a reply with which language you can translate into. There is a web dialog, so knowledge of basic HTML (so you know what text prompts to edit) would be helpful. There will (eventually) be a brief help file as well.

      Thanks, community!

If SketchUp supported "micro-localization", I could offer a deep-South version for the Dixie states ("Y'all Windowize that now, ya hear?"), or a New England cab driver version ("Windowize THIS, you *****!!"), or a close-to-the-49th-parallel version ("Windowize, eh?"). However, I will adamantly resist a "talk-like-a-pirate-day" version ("Aarrgh! Windowize it now, ye filthy sea dog, before I mop the deck with ye!"). Not sure about a Klingon-language version.

          Does anyone here speak Bocce?

I was going to use Sketchup.get_locale to determine which webdialog file to open. SU is only localized for the versions in my list (according to Google). I suppose that someone could translate the relevant webdialog to their particular language...

                    Message received. 😄

                    Okay, here's the update:

                    1. added in the front-only option

                    2. added in the group/non-group option

                    3. added zero-width outside frame handling
(with those two items, setting to front-only and non-group will create things just like Windowizer3 did, just with more capability [generally speaking]).
My short-list for things remaining to do:

                    4. Add "Edit" capability, like in W3

                    5. Add "Inherit properties" capability, like in W3

                    6. Add "Delete" capability, like in W3 (this may be difficult, since W4 will cut openings in "walls" now)

                    7. Handle zero-width mullions for butt-glazing

                    8. Investigate using components
If there's anything on the list you don't care about, I could put it off 'til the first update. If there's capabilities you want to see, let me know - I'll see what I can do.

It's designed for storefront or curtainwall types of windows like Kawneer and so on. That said, it has been used for all kinds of things I did not expect (and which I have tried to maintain as best I could).

Forgive me for my horrible English.
I love this Script, I find it him very important.
Like you doesn't rest, you could consider those ideas:

1 Configuration interface with previuw in the side.
2 Glaze and aluminum could come in separate objects and groups.
3 Incorporate technology BIM for future modifications in the window?
4 Open hole automatically in the walls, maybe an integration with the Plugin multi-layers Wall?
5 Choose profiles for the metallic part?
6 Save configurations with names for other sessions of use of Sketchup, with hidden file?

                                    Thanks anyway.

Thanks Rick for your V4 upgrade on windowizer. I have used windowizer for independently and ocsssionally with the housebuilder ruby and it works well, if you size the rough openings correctly.
Just a suggestion to check if V4 will continue to work with housebuilder. Are there many out there still using housebuilder.rb? or has it fallen from grace? Do you need any help translating US English to Canadian eh?
                                          Cheers

While I haven't checked for compatibility, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work with housebuilder.rb (but I could be surprised, I suppose).

Progress update: I learned of a serious bug that requires a fix before release. If I can get done with my day-job deadlines, I'll fix it this weekend.
