Really cool plugin. Though, there's some odd triangulation some times. Looks like half of it ends up smooth, but the other half of the geometry ends up with sharp jagged triangulation.

I considered a translation from US English to UK English (change "o" to "ou", replace "s" with "c" in certain words, substitute "-aft" with "-aught", reverse "-er" to "-re", and rename the "Apply" button to, "I say, old chap, would you mind Windowizing that for me, what what?"), but decided that might be a bit much.
(stated with great fondness for all my friends on the other side of the pond)
Awh, I'd love that UK version.
Is there much to translate? I could be available to do a Norwegian localization.

Wireless mouse and keyboard for Mac?
I got my Mac Mini connected to my TV, currently connected by wire with an USB extension cord. I can't stand all these cables and wires.
Can anyone recommend a wireless mouse and keyboard, preferable with a small form factor?
Note: I like that I can control the volume from my keyboard. I tried with one of my multimedia PC keyboards, but I could not get the multimedia keys to work. Plus, I seemed to have some problems getting the keys mapped correctly. -
RE: [Req] Texture Corrector.... PLEASE
SketchUp does some weird stuff when it comes to backfaces. If you have a face where you apply a transparent texture on the front it automatically mirrors on the back if the backface has the default material. If you stretch and distort the texture on the front it updates the back. But if you apply a backface material, and you break that link. After removing the backface material to default, SU doesn't reset the mapping co-ordinates. Not until you make a change to the front side again, then it synchronizes again.
So maybe an alternate method would be for the script to reset the backface material to default and "touch" the front material forcing SU to update the backface.

RE: There are NO dates for SU 7.
Maybe just lock the thread so it will eventually fade out into the abyss?

RE: [Req] Texture Corrector.... PLEASE
I'm interested in this ruby as well. And there's an army of people over at the AsgVIS forum that need this utility.

RE: Paracloud
That's interesting. Thanks for that link.

RE: Help Me! I can 't see the textures in render
Also, if you applied a tga file, which SU supports, V-Ray will only render the diffuse colour because it doesn't support that format.

OK, we added a temporary forum to discuss this. Anyone feel free to chime in, upload models, share them with the others and test out the different features and posibilities.
Maybe a small SCF collaboration test project?

RE: Docs-like collaboration in 3D Warehouse
If Google only had proper for the area I live in this would have been so great when we have to collaborate with other offices where sites are located next to each other.

RE: Docs-like collaboration in 3D Warehouse
This is a very interesting feature. Will have to have a look at that.

Only thing I've heard of is that some AMD based machines end up in an endless loop of BSOD and restart. Happened with my brother. You might want to check your hardware if you got an AMD machine.
That happened to me on my main workstation. In fact it is still down now because I have not had a day free to get it sorted.
I have read it requires a full re-installMy system runs an AMD 64 3200
My brother could not find a fix to it. And none of the potential fixes I dug up on the internet applied either. He reinstalled the system and blocked the SP3 upgrade. Strange that it should all happen to AMD machines. Hope there will be some fix out for the various problems along with an announcement so people know when they can install SP3 again.

Thanks!
but does anyone know why I can't access that link in the first reply?

[REQUEST] Purge Toolbar Button
I use this function to often that I'd really like to have it available as a toolbar button and a menu item. When it's a menu item I can even assign it a hotkey.

RE: [POLL]: If SU 7 will not have multicore/high poly support
64bit XP/Vista would not need the large address aware flag as it can handle much more memory. It's 32bit Windows that makes use of it.
I wasn't aware that Vista was different from XP. Can't say anything on that. I'd have to look up that.

Ok, further digging confirms what I thought. Here's a howto that applies to poser. http://www.keindesign.de/stefan/poser/3gb.html

RE: [POLL]: If SU 7 will not have multicore/high poly support
Hey, from that link I posted:
@unknownuser said:
To set this bit, you must use Microsoft Visual Studio Version 6.0 or later and the Editbin.exe utility, which has the ability to modify the image header (/LARGEADDRESSAWARE) flag. For more information on setting this flag, see the Microsoft Visual Studio documentation.
Some manufacturers preconfigure their applications to use application memory tuning, making it unnecessary for you to make this change. For more information, see your application documentation and contact your application vendor to determine whether they support Large Address Awareness or whether you can enable it in their application.
Looks like we can set this flag our self. I have Visual Studio Express installed on my home computer, so I maybe I have that utility. It could be that it only comes with the non-free version of VS. I'm unable to check this out until I get home. Anyone else here in the position to check this out?

A 3rd party developer for Sketchup told me a while ago that implementing 'large adress awareness' is just a matter of adding a few code lines
Really?
If that is indeed the case then I insist it be implemented, hold on ... I DEMAND it! (please)
