Wow 😲 Rich & Marian I'am blown away by these brilliant interpretations. So, Rich I downloaded Fredo's Curviloft and did just what you said, viola! That is soooo smooth and pretty simple to understand the way in which you can achieve this through the drawing of the connected curves. You're right, after this just spend a little time and round it up a bit.

Marian, nicely done as well. Your process ended up pretty smooth and not leaving a whole lot to fine tune. I guess it depends on how critical and precise one wants to get. I will now take some time to attempt your process and get back.

Hey thanks a lot everyone, this has been very helpful and enlightening ☀ I now have a doctorate in selection and data on mesh surfaces. Love this community, best bunch of pros 😄. The selection toys are super Thomas, you have some awesome skills in creating quality plugins.

Fredo6, I don't think I have ever seen the Area within the contextual Menu, awesome, thanks.

I did make it work by going back to my models and setting them to have no Geo-Locations and this worked. I was able to import my models. But it still seems messed up in SU V.8 when you do have a Geo-Referenced SU model to import and the dialog does not come up to ask you if you want to choose location or place in the geo-referenced location.

Good to hear. I have the same problem...too many plugins that is. I actually went through my plugins folder before migrating it over to 8 to see what was in there....lots of buried treasures I'd forgotten about, and even some oldies back from SketchUp 4!

Maybe another hotkey combination for "close component" would help if he esc key has hangups according to tools etc.. Works for me to assign another hotkey.

That was it! Nvidia's desktop manager called nView was running and so I just turned it off and wahlaw! Thanks for your help Dan and TIG.

Hey thanks Eric! Those little "Stadium People" are great. I believe they would definitely work for this Bird's Eye View.

That is some good info on the Q-Tip people, I'll have to remember that. As for now, I'm going to give the "Stadium People" a go.

Well it produces an image representation of the model file, my guess is it reads the image embedded in the file [by SketchUp] and not the geometry itself. So, in short, yes it does, but it's a qualified statement.

Anyway. Your input (in the copier) is 1:500. The output needs to be 1:300 which is a larger scale.
So you need ?:500 to equal 1:300. What more can I say? (500/300):500 = (1.66666667):500 = 1:300

b.t.w. don't underestimate the SU scale tool features whenever you encounter such a thing in SU.

Darn! Some bad experiences. Listen so far I'm ok, but it's only been one day so we'll see what happens. I have yet to really get into the plugin and see what it can do, I'm working on an interior right now, we'll see how that turns out.

Daniel, Adobe after effects was the program used to put it all together. This was put together is a total of 3 days. Now all the content was done but the video itself took about 3 days. Next time I would liked to have the artwork move a bit slower and some other tweaks, but as you all know very well, time, time, time.
