The idea behind the shower and the toilet room is to be able to have two people shower at the same time, it also has to do with the number of people the guest rooms can accommodate since each one can hold two full size beds. I can see how it would be more convenient to have the bathroom in a location other than the end of the hall. On the Cor ten steel, I thought i had read something where it talks about a process were the metal surface can be sealed, but i could be wrong about that. Thanks for the heads up on the front gate overheating, Oh you asked about the location, outside Palm Springs comes to mind. Thanks for your input Daniel, always appreciated.

@richard said: Maybe put up your changes mate! BTW a plan is always a help to determine the workability of your solution! And not one of those ghastly 3D ones, urrrr! Nah, once I posted I released it to its owner Daniel, it's time now to move on to the next design exercise.

Looks good but isn't the garage door much too close to the edge of the wall?

I really like (love) aspects of the design mate - the only thing that jumps at me though is the spiral staircase. It seems at odds with the 99.9% rectilinear forms - sought of saying "dam I need to get up there, but now how?"!

@bryan k said: I did a 3 floor 20 x 20 that was one of my first postings here, but this design looks far more interesting than mine. Would love to see a finished exterior artist rendering or photo rendering in the future. Thank you very much. Serrot

@bryan k said: Very cool design. I also love the sketchy style. Is that a preset style or is it custom? And where did you get the trees? Those are perfect for the style. Thank you, the style is just basic Sketchup and I got the trees from the 3D warehouse but they were round so I altered the color shape and transparency.
