    • Thea Render - Call for Beta Testers

Giannis have made a call for Thea Render beta testers.

      @unknownuser said:

The time has come that users can join us in a closed-beta phase and make a full test of the application and the plugins. We really believe that beta testing is an invaluable process not only for ironing out the application, but also due to the necessary feedback of experienced users with their constructive comments and criticism. The beta testers will join us progressively starting from mid September. It is highly appreciated if you can fill this application form and send it to beta@thearender.com. More related information can be found in the forum.

      Hi
I need a clear Textured glass Testure/Bump map like the one in this link

      Can anyone help me.

If you are a Kerkythea user, there is a nice new patterned glass pack by Sergio.

    • RE: Announcing Thea Render

      Technology Preview of Relighting
Following the "trend" in rendering, we have implemented a mechanism for relighting a scene without the need to re-render the scene. This mechanism - that we call Relight in Thea Render - is particularly effective for unbiased rendering. With the usage of multiple separate buffers (per light group), it is possible to tweak your lighting as a post process but keeping the result unbiased. Thus, you can get numerous renders of high quality within the rendertime of a single shot and even create relighting animation.

I don't think the quad faces are planar.

That's possible. So option to ignore soft/hidden faces would good.

    • RE: Select Perimeter Edges only

Here is a good explanation of edge loop.
      http://wiki.cgsociety.org/index.php/Edge_Loop
Edge loop terminates if there 3 or 5 (or more junctions), so for a mesh build with only triangle faces there is no edge loop.

Okay, I've sorta got the Shift-to-reverse-tool working. It makes sculpting a lot easier; either that, or I've just gotten a lot better 🤣

Sure it will help. Looks great so far!

I don't get that 3dvia program. So, it's a program like sketchup, except you can only use it online and you can't export or save any of your models to the hard drive? Seems pointless and a waste of good modeling tools.

Wonder if 3DVIA Printscreen or OGLE would extract the model created with 3dvia...

make ver.3up dependant on one of the files from ver.2, maybe the icons or something. hell, i'm sure Whaat could figure something out. i know i don't want to pay full price for an upgrade thats for sure.

Don't want to have a unused scrip hanging in the plugins folder. But perhaps installer that looks existing subsmooth, removes it and then installs a new one, would do the trick.

    • RE: Best landscape Rendering Program

Kerkythea do have a powerful instancing brush feature. Cant say it would beat Vue7 in large scale animated nature creation, but in smaller scale it's fairly effective. Take a look on gallery or forum wip/final renders.
Learn to use it with Instancing Brush Tutorial for 2008 Echo and get some model libraries and start painting your canvas with vegetation.
