Thea Render - Call for Beta Testers
-
Giannis have made a call for Thea Render beta testers.

The time has come that users can join us in a closed-beta phase and make a full test of the application and the plugins. We really believe that beta testing is an invaluable process not only for ironing out the application, but also due to the necessary feedback of experienced users with their constructive comments and criticism. The beta testers will join us progressively starting from mid September. It is highly appreciated if you can fill this application form and send it to beta@thearender.com. More related information can be found in the forum.

Thanks for the heads up

Gee...
I've been watching the Thea Render RSS Feed for quite some time already. NOW it's up there (according to the time stamp, only for two minutes!)
Anyway, thanks a bunch! Although I'm not a render guru, I'll also try to apply as I'm awfully interested in the development (and probably in the future product as well).
Edit: I've made the announcement sticky for a while

Is it available for Mac?
-
I asked the question on the Thea Forum when Thea Render was first announced, and Giannis said it will be. Whether it makes the first closed beta will be interesting, and say a lot about the development of the system.
-
Since Thea's "predecessor" (at least as far as the rendering engine goes), Kerkythea is available for the Mac, I see no real reason why Thea shouldn't - but of course that's only my lay opinion.
-
Thea Render will be available for MacOSX.
btw here is the form mentioned earlier as pdf. -
Thanks for reassuring

Thank you all. The call for this beta is closed now. It will take a moment until all ~200 applications are proceeded, but you will be contacted by email, when selections are done. Further information on Thea Render forum.

... Probably a small number (20 at most) distributed uniformly among all modeling applications.
After this (short) period of closed beta testing, an open beta will appear where everyone can see our progress and evaluate Thea Render.
best wishes
