Twinmotion second try
Hi all I have started playing around with twinmotion a few weeks ago. The following is a link to a short practice video. It is animated but fairly static for the first 10 seconds so if you have a look at the vid try and get past that. It is by no means perfect but an example of how easy the program is

RE: Metal Fabric - just an exercise
Really interesting work HorNox
Did you come up with the weave? -
RE: Planning Application - getting there!
Nice work mate
I have recently been working for local government here in Australia and the planning department is starting to insist that development applicalations require a 3D model/renders for developments over a certain cost, and DA's will be fast tracked for those supplying 3D models/renders

Render?
This is probably the actual appearance of the furniture.Robert
Hi Robert, sorry mate that was a (probably bad) joke. I was aware it was a Photo, indicated by the "wink" at the end

RE: More older stuff
Really nice, well concieved and executed design CJ and thanks for sharing been a bit quite in that area. I find the render a bit half baked and not at all covincing

RE: Hot off the press, D5 render engine
Interesting after a bit of research it seems the D5 is based on 'Unreal Engine' knowing the Chinese I bet they just tore apart unreal engine and made there own version of "twinmotion" I wonder what licensing agreement they have:)

Hot off the press, D5 render engine
Hi all, I just found a new render engine (D5 render) Looks like a combination of raytrace and raster with pbr materials and IES ligting. Have not been able to find out much about it exept for a few short vids. I am pretty sure it is very new as the oldest vid I can find is only 22 hours old. looks pretty good but I have not had time for a play as yet.
The free download is in the youtube as a link.
I wonder if 2020 is the year of the real time render engine wars all fighting for market penitration?

RE: The parameter is incorrect?
Cheers Dave, will try your sugestion this afternoon, and will report back. However when you mentioned which version I was using I realised I had seen the message before. The model was created in 2018 or 2019 Pro (At work) and that messge had cropped up there as well. I cant remember how it resolved

The parameter is incorrect?
Hi just opened a file and after about 5 mins when I triy to selecy anything a "the parameter is incorrect" as shown. I have purged and "fix problem" to no avail. Any clues guys I have never seen this before. -
RE: Octagon Hammerhead Bevel
Hi, I would not have used the round corner tool I would have used "follow me" tool
If you rounded off the octagonal edge a bit it would also work and be a little more realCheers

Video player question
Hi, I have little knowledge in comuter systems. I am learning rendering and animation, the animation part is new to me. I created a small video and I think I needed to save it into the documents folder to play it (I think) so I could play the animation. My 'C' Drine grew in size. The media player is on 'C' drive. that drive is almost full.
My question is: cam I download a media player to 'D' drive and then would I just download my animation to 'D' drive and it will play? Thanks in advance

RE: Twinmotion lighting?
Thanks mate great video and so much funcionality in the program:thumb: The program does have its fair share of issues though, mostly around the user interface. I have been playing around for about an hour trying to control DOF. I have someting about 1m from the camera to be in fucus and I want someting about 6m away to be in focus. one hour later I am no wiser. How about the user interface gives me a distance and an aperture size like most other renderers I have used
