I thought I would share this good news
For the last few years I have been fighting a few cancers and open heart surgery. due to this my savings are all gone. I could not even buy SU 2025, so I was working with 2017. I got a very well paying job in the bush. I saw the CEO bullying everyone. I am very sure he has a mental condition. He would on occasion make some of his female employees cry and I saw the smirk on his face when he did so. The last time he did it at a meeting he made somebody cry. I told the 2IC and the CEO that they ruled by nothing but fear and called them bullies to there face, well that surely hit a nerve and I lost my job. Anyway I left that very remote town. with little savings and using my last money to keep a roof over my learning about employment law to take action against the CEO who is very 'Lawyered up' I spent my time with no income to get my satisfaction for myself and other employees. I was broke but found a Lawyer to fight a no win no fee contract. I must have spent about 400 hours over about 2 months I was quite depressed but I had a mission.
when I was a youngster I was a specialist Firefighter/ Engineer for 8 years. We used a product Called AFFF or aqueous film forming foam every day, It had a chemical in it called PFAS (the forever chemical). We used this as a detergent in a squeezy bottle in the fire station kitchen and to wash our clothes as well. They found out about 10 years ago that the chemical (PFAS) has a very serious things to humans. It is a carcinogen and causes high blood pressure. In the past 7 years I have had 2 heart attacks one requiring open heart surgery one stroke and 3 cancers.I started to make a claim it has taken 18 months as they are dealing with public money
Anyway here is the good news............After all that, today I got a phone call from my advocate saying that all my claims have been accepted and I will get a fortnightly payment all my doctors fees will be paid as will my Taxi fares and medicinal costs. This will include a lump some payment as well also tax free. My life has changed overnight. I can,t explained how I feel this evening. I feel like I have won the lotto after being not far from being homeless. Sorry if this is too off subject but I had to share some good news

All good mate, thanks so much for the offer, I have just used a simple dome without the kicked out edge section using follow me as you suggested. Thanks again for your help! Cheers, Nick

RE: Beauties of Iran (other face of Iran)
When I was 14 I was flying to the UK from Australia and we had engine problems so the aircraft was grounded for a few days. the airline took us on a very long drive into the dessert to a hotel almost standing almost alone. I remembered the complexity of the wall decorations almost jewel like and intricate. The other things I remember was getting an electric shock every tim I touched any metal I was told it was the combination of almost zero humidity an wearing man made textile shirt. The other thing I remember is that the tv would not start until 4PM and the first thing everyday on TV was the then Shar Playing classical piano

RE: Ain't Sketchup to rhyme with the trends?
@Mike-Amos said in Ain't Sketchup to rhyme with the trends?:
Energy consumption which we should be reducing, is going up
By Oct 27, 2028 (three years from today) global electricity use for AI-heavy computing (data centres + AI training/inference) is plausibly 30%β200% higher than it is today
The whole world looks scary to me I feel sorry for our kids

It is easy get frustrated because it lacks certain features. But a bloated app can also lead to frustration when trying to find features hidden behind nested menu or panels.
It is no secret that SU was designed not to intimidate a new user from its inception by having a very simple UI. I do not understand why SU does not change the UI very much at all but have advanced features hidden until you "awaken" them when your modelling skills get more advanced.

Interesting, It feels to me that rightly or wrongly Trimble sees it future in AI with the likes of SketchUp difusion. over modelling tools. who am I to say they are wrong. When you say "SU to choose: growth or death" what do you mean?
