RE: Japanese Palace render
@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich I as usual will try to improve the render I know you are a tech guy. I have posted an image of the actual machine I was "sucked into" every day for 28 days straight. You lay on it and it focuses on 3 gold seeds that have been permanently placed in your body to get a Zero XYZ point. the image does not do it justice.I feel I have been on the Starship Enterprise Then it rotates around you with hi fi music playing and a 30 Meter square image of a coral reef with fish on the ceiling. The hospital I was in has has 4 of them, they cost 7 million dollars each. They, once in situ, need tech guys work for 2 months to commission the unit. Like Aviation engineering there is " NO HIGHWAY IN THE SKY" And for anyone with an interest in aviation,NO HIGHWAY IN THE SKY it a great movie About metal fatigue in aircraft and available on youtube.
I am rambling but am blaming it on the drugs.

Japanese Palace render
Had a medical procedure so have not used sketchup for a while so I got back on the horse today. Was a bit rusty. I did this referencing an image from jamzVIEW But put my own take on it. Building model was from 3D warehouse by Desired Space that have high quality models and are recommended. Sketchuo plus TM

Thank you, I am responsible and it is indeed a Triceratop skull as a bonnet ornament.
Very nice work Mike? Not sure that hood ornament would pass the safety approval though unless it was made of soft rubber

Church garden revisited
I did a render a short time ago, but it was still open on my computer. I could not help having a play with it again. I think this is much better. Modelled in SU rendered in TM

@jo-ke said in Russel Island escape (Render):
wow, very realistic! sharp render
Thanks Jo_ke, thank you. I would not like to admit how long I spent on it, but probably a hundred renders, and the SU model was 160mb and the TM file 1.5Gb

RE: House Render Sketchup/TM
@ntxdave I see your point but my tire tracks under the eaves hang around for quite a while in Winter

RE: Hi, I am New Here
Basically what others have said with the addition of watching some beginners tutorials on you tube of which there are many, of just have a go, when you get stuck ask a question if you get stuck. We have all been beginners so we get it

RE: House Render Sketchup/TM
Hi, I thought it would be cool to have wet tyre tracks on the driveway. I could not get hold of some wet tyre tracks. I used a TM native puddle an shrank it down to the size of a tyre track and arrayed them as instances in a linear fashion so there are hundreds of puddles in a line, looks quite convincing I think
