Still not working for me! Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I can't find out why it is not consistent. I'm on Mac OSX 10.9.5...much thanks, Keea

This message means that something happened since the last auto-save which caused the document to become corrupt. Your best bet is to click "Yes" when this message appears, since this will recover the most recent auto-save. Then you should immediately save once the auto-saved file opens. This option to recover the most recent auto-save is new to LayOut 2014. If you use the default auto-save interval of 5 minutes, then you will have lost at most 5 minutes of work.

Hi, it could be a login-issue. I'd forgotten about that plugin. thanks for reminding me. I think a keyboard shortcut for that would be a handy thing.

Hi, I had I think the exact same problem ans solved it clicking on SCALE button in Cotation Style Tab http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=39874&p=352439#p352439 [image: jWgj_cotation.jpg]

It could be a couple of things. First, if you saved your file but didn't update your scene, then came back later and did, things would jump. Second, a change we added in 3.0 M1 (release 3.0.4810 / 4811) is that when you edit a model in LayOut, the scene gets marked modified AND turns OFF "Preserve Scale". If we didn't do this, you'd edit your model, get it set up, exit, then the model would jump (because of the scale). Lastly, there are some instances where http://sketchup.google.com/3dwh/buildingmaker.html buildings would make a scene jump, and it has to do with reconciling 2D and 3D cameras. But that doesn't sound like your case. Do either of the first two choices fit? b

Hi Keea1111, Are you working on a network and is anyone else opening the files you are working on? Ive had lots of issues with files going missing because Im working from a PC server (Im on mac) and the way that mapped drives are named on a PC is not recognised by macs. This means that if when my colleague (who works on PC) opens a LO file Ive worked on the linked SU files are missing when I open it. Just a thought . . .

Whoa. Thanks for reminding me about that. I sometimes change scene names to be shorter when I get a lot of them so I can keep them in view--I've had some bad repercussions in LO. Good to remember.

Mate I have posted a simple workaround to this thread. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=31373 In a nutshell: In layout create your own hatch pattern using the line tool, Export this page as PNG file so the background is alpha, Import this to your later LO docs or add to scrapbook and create clipping mask to mask out! It would be a great addition IF layout could clip it's own objects ie: A clipping mask could clip an "in document" created hatch - not a perfect senario but pretty darn close!

Solid, manifold, water-tight. No holes. No stray lines. No internal geometry. Here's a plugin to help identify problem areas: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=30504 And a new one that tries to fix solids: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=33471

The free training edition of Tgi3d amorph might be enough for a simple structure - worth testing it at least. You can model the wavy rectangle then thicken it as needed with JPP. TIGs extrude series of plugins would also work for you in all likelihood - simple example:- [image: NrI2_Wavy.png]

Hi Keea (and Jweff and Barry), You can attach LO files here (we even hve a special icon for them) but indeed that file size seems to be too big. Good ytou got the solution! (Still in Boulder... )

TIG means that you can edit a png image in an external editor and add transparency to it. You cannot interactively adjust its transparency in LO so you have to find out how much you want to adjust it in your image editor and then get stuck to it.
