What causes 'missing file' in LO

HI,
Does anyone know what causes a SU file in LO to become 'missing' or 'old' within the references menu? I am having files become missing or old, even within days of working on them, saving them, etc. It is having a ripple effect where, when I relink, it brings up the last saved view, and then throws off my whole page lay out. Any insight would be appreciated..thanks, -
Hi Keea, Have you moved the SketchUp file form its original location? That may be the problem....
If so, move it back to the folder you imported it from and it should work. -

Maybe post a screen shot and I'll see if I recognise it from when files have been missing on my machine....

Are you working on a network and is anyone else opening the files you are working on? Ive had lots of issues with files going missing because Im working from a PC server (Im on mac) and the way that mapped drives are named on a PC is not recognised by macs. This means that if when my colleague (who works on PC) opens a LO file Ive worked on the linked SU files are missing when I open it.
