pilou , jeff , thanks for your responses. I'm always willing to look try new software if the prices aren't crazy steep. Starting to get a handle doing the animals in SU but damn the meshes can get pretty ugly.... guess I just need to pull up my big boy pants and get back to trying to wrap my head around Blender. thanks again.

@davidheim1 said: Not sure exactly how that works the mechanism looks basically like a nail gun firing pin that shoots the blade out of the way.. (at 0:40 in the video above) as far as the detection, i imagine the blade has a charge applied to it and if your body touches the blade, the circuit closes and the safety feature activates?

unscientific observation regarding the poll: people who were voting in the wee hours EST (1-3a.m.) tend to use emoticons/netspeak.. (the vote was 6to1 at one point) now that we're in 'normal' hours, the vote is leveling out.

@slbaumgartner said: I worked out an analytic geometry solution using the formulas for the distance between two points and for the intersection point of two given lines. Solving is "just" a matter of algebra. However, the remaining difficulty is that the math formulation covers various configurations that have no real-value solution (e.g. attached image) and it is difficult (or at least confusing) to weed these out of the formulas. looks good, I was wondering what happened to this project. I have some questions so if you can ahare can you tell me: Which kind of concrete did you use? How did you make the corners, touch friendly, I guess consistently rounded is what I am trying to say? How does it perform thermodynamically is it could for sitting ?

Bass Pro paid $1 pbf for the reclaimed we used on some of their stores. They sent people around the country looking for old barns and would then tear them down and send the wood to a local cabinet shop for reworking. This was in 2004. I might add that it's dangerous stuff to work with. planing it, and cutting it you would hit nails, screws, buckshot and bullets.

Really minor but... the measurements box could use a caret to mark where you're typing. As is, I have to go by feel + trial and error if I want to change something I'm inputting.

very nice plugin. thank you very much. works well in windows 8, sketchup 2013. Two suggestions. You can add the option, midpoint, for example If pressing the Ctrl key? It is possible that the inferences of colors (red, blue and green) Increase your depth when we press the Shift key? thank you very much.

we do all of our development for V-Ray for SketchUp on Macs. We use windows more than OSX, but we hop back and forth between them. I love this this machine, and have never found a Windows-only mobile device (technically Macs are PCs) that compares to it.

It has light rum, dark rum, vodka, gin, and liquer. i think it has some friut juices, too, but with those other ingredients what does it matter?

(that's possibly getting into lcd damage there instead of just the digitizer.. might as well just trash it at that point due to repair costs being so high)

@driven said: Hard links are different on a mac, they are modified (from the unix version) for use with TimeMachine. They work on files or folders…. I'm familiar with how Time Machine uses hard links in the backup folders. Shortly after it was released, I spent some time on Apple's user support forums trying to explain to curious users how it worked & why they should not tamper with those folders outside of the Time Machine interface. A surprising number of Mac users noticed the backup folder sizes added up to more than the total backup space used on the drive & tried to "fix" that.

@davidboulder said: So our interest in a 64bit SketchUp would be for smaller installers. i think that's what they (maybe barry from google iirc) said was a big reason for dropping powerPC support on mac (su only runs on intel macs now)... it was that the installer was doubled in size. so smaller installers is a fair argument
