I see the error is the same except the scenarios are different. What I can now tell is that I haven't uninstalled the old Windows, as I wanted to see the differences and I was a bit reserved about this ssd(second hand bought). So I accessed the old Windows and guess what? No error when I wake it up from sleep and also the time for waking up is shorter, way shorter- it wakes up almost instantly. On the old Windows , I didn't had all the updates installed, but the Nvidia driver was up to date. I assume there is a problem with the Windows updates.. It wouldn't be such a big problem, but I have the habit of putting the computer at sleep for at least two, three times a day, letting all the programs opened. Unsuspected are the ways of IT ! Edit 1 I have found that on the old Windows, OpenGL is version 1 and on the new one is 3.3 . Where does the OpenGL versions comes from ? I'll have to search for the patch that updates the OpenGl version. Edit 2 They are now both versions 3.3, but there is something different, they are different... and I have same stuff installed on both versions. The one that is from july is the one that works fine... [image: HSL5_Untitled-1.jpg] [image: nUjn_Untitled-2old.jpg]

The problem comes from my hard disk(I believe) as it went out of power(loose connecter perhaps) and then when I made it to work back this problem occurred with both these files(The folder they are in was open when the hard disk stopped working). The .skb gives the same error ! The weird thing is that I can see the preview of the large one but it won't open.

I think best case scenerio would be for Fredo to add a function to Offset on Surface which will perform multiple offsets at once on all "hard" edges in an organic shape. Perhaps a request is in order.

Hi ! Good thing(or bad) is that this model was made for 3d printing, and the ropes will be added in reality . Anyway I saved a smooth model of it and I added some ropes over the geometry, in order to get a render too . [image: rNxo_HyperionforrenderingbyEliseiDesign.jpg] Another killer : I had to create the subframe of this . Imagine all the intersections and small faces and make it solid too !! [image: JOHc_CatwalkHyperionbyEliseiDesign.jpg] The frame is very heavy , I hope my PC will handle both, the balloon(plus gondola) and the frame. Take care !

YOu indeed have a wide variety of styles, like that! Kerky is a good renderprogram to start with. Kind of a steap learning curve, but there are some good tutorials out there (Material by Patrick mainly) wich explains it well and understandable! When you get familiair to Kerky, Thea Render would be the next best thing. But I only know these to, so I'm biased Keep up the creative work!

I've had this problem crop up periodically and it's an enormous pain at times. I figured that the planes were imperfect at some tolerance and I couldn't correct the problem. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough. When it does I try to erase as many of the hidden lines as possible while leaving those that would cause planes to disappear. It's a time consuming pain. I've even erased absolutely everything and started from scratch only to have the hidden lines appear again often enough. Aarrrgh!!! What I find doubly annoying is cleaning up a model only to find many of the lines reappearing after I saw the model. Undoing Check Validity removes the lines in the model I already erased, but that doesn't solve the issur that those reappearing lines have been saved in the model.

@Mitcorb-I looked in the video's tags and the program seems to be Maya. I don't have a step by step version;i've watched the video for couple of times and i paused when he made major changes in the geometry and i tried to do the same. And for the ear, i've searched and downloaded an ear picture and i used it as a blueprint. @Jo-ke -I believe that the texture makes all the deal in your model, otherwise the model will be less detailed . I tell you my opinion. I have no doubt that you have talent. But I see only a few models that you can sell. The rest is very primitive. You have to make an impression with your models.

@ely862me said: This is very easy..make a component then make a copy ,mirror it(flip along or scale it with -1) and place it near the other one. I actually thought this may offend u ,being too simple.. Ah! Just one of those things I never learned... I'd always finish 1/2 the model and then copy/flip, but the method you show gives a much more clear sense of proportion. Thanks! (maybe this could go in the "DUH! aka D'oh!" thread?)

Very realistic Captain(only one thing bother me..those square shadows down there on the snow).. Adam, those are very nice thinking there is no render engine involved . Thank you for posting ur renders! Elisei
