vray.com was purchased by someone that has NOTHING to do with Chaos Group, V-Ray, ASGvis, etc. They are just a reseller like the rest of the resellers out there. ASGvis also distributed it's products via resellers, but in addition to that, sold the products it made itself. This was unfair for our resellers though, and caused a lot of complications. Product creation and product sales are often separated, although it's less common in the world of software, it's still a common practice. We aren't really set up to handle worldwide sales, taxes, shipping, etc. That's all unnecessary overhead, which can be handled by local resellers much more efficiently. To purchase our product, we recommend you use our website to locate a local reseller that can help you. It's not realy complicated, all you have to do is click the Purchase button at the top of our site, and then choose V-Ray for SketchUp from the drop down list. (or click this link: http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/purchase.html?pID=10). People often get confused and think that vray.com is part of Chaos Group... I really wish that company hadn't decided to use or product's name for their domain name... that is a very sneaky and misleading way of attracting business.

Does anyone have a generic template of a contract for me to see? I have never had an issue in the past with any refusal of payment, however I have had late payments and change order disagreements and I'd like to see how y'all word it.

that is a great question. I would like to know too because if I could animated something in Sketchup then export it for a game engine (UDK, Unity) that would be extremely helpful. I know FBX and PSK supports bones, but not sure if Sketchy Physics does...

OK, so this is my turn to scratch y head. I suggested (or maybe rather just "mentioned") Corel to Miguel because at that time it was the only one I kind of knew. Now I have looked at some other ones like Cyberlink because I need a very special effect now that seems to be available with Cyberlink ("Picture in picture - VERY briefly addressed at the bottom of this page). BUT what I exactly need is a video (or still image) in the background of a HD video and a "traditional" TV size (720x576 pixels in Europe as PAL/SECAM TV's are as opposed to NTSC). These have already been recorded and we would like to use them without having to re-record in HD so we'd basically "cheat" and just add some background (either stills or if possible, sometimes even animation). The "front" 720x576 MUST be video. Something like the attached below. Ideally the positioning of that inserted, red area should also be customisable. As my trial for Corel has expired, I cannot check if that is capable and now I have to buy one that is capable of something like this. Any advice? (Also, I am pretty broke so the "inexpensive" category must apply - and I am also rather stupid so it would be nice to have a fool-proof, easy-to-use software). [image: NO0v_hdtv.png]

Rich: I have tried before completely deleting all contents and starting it again in another PC, to no avail. So this time I decided to restore the iPod OS in another PC. It now works. I feel so stupid. But hey, I did try a LOT of things. It's ironic that I had to restore the iPod in my parents' tiny HP netbook in order to use the thing in my quad-core fire-breathing monster. I still have no idea about what went wrong with restoring it in my PC.

Why not? Can you not use a pen? How about using snap, and then inputting a number representing length? Ala AutoCAD?

Thanks, I had forgotten about dropbox. I'll give it a second chance now that I have 2Mbps upload speed (Had 300kbps when I tried it). I'll try Skydrive, too.
