Superb!

Lumion?
Cool result! -
Very nice work
The best Lumion clip I've seen so far, I think.
I'm not wild about Lumion, but it apparently works pretty good for such large projects.
What strikes me with Lumion is that it always seems to be set in USA/Europe, there's always water with lots of waves/ripples, even on small creeks and ponds, all people are caucasian/white and they all cast a dark AO shade around them in addition to the shadow from the sun. Seems to be a bit limited library of people etc?BTW, I spent a couple of days in Guayaquil in -80 on my way from Quito to Peru (wonderful train trip down from Quito!).
I remember it as very hot and humid, but then after coming directly there from a few weeks in the mountains any place at the sea level would have felt hot and humid I guess? -
Again, Miguel, superb...
Maybe a bit too much "god ray" at the beginning (although true that from the long shadows, it may be a hazy morning) but I know I like these settings too much to leave them out in my (never finishing) project and trying to find the "minimum bearable amount"...@ Bjorn; you are right that the assets libraries are a bit limited for the time being. Thy add new things with every update - and of course, there are feature requests for more varieties of people as well as other stuff... Now imagine that I'd need Roman soldiers for my current project!
That AO shade can be adjusted - but only in global level so you need to find a good balance as it may look fine elsewhere.
Also the water shading is a bit limited if you use the built in water plane types but if you use your own water surface (exported from SU), there are a lot of settings both for colour, rippling etc. -
Those Roman Sponza soldiers would be a great inspiration I believe ?
Funny how they applied the same brisk MoCap (silly Python) walk to everyone
Have you tried MakeHuman?
I think Lumion would be much nicer if it allowed some slight random variations (also speed) to their figure motions.
It's like with trees - if you need a forest of birch trees it just isn't good enough to copy the same birch a few hundred times. Trees in Lumion looks pretty good though -
Well, you can adjust the speed somewhat (within a clip) by simply adding different distances to a character to "walk" within the same amount of time. This should not be too different though as their limbs are moving in the same pace.
Thy are planning some "ecosystem brushes" but I am not sure what it will exactly be. Also there are some species of plants (like acacia or olive) which already have a couple of variations and of course, you can randomize size and rotation so any plant can look like a bit random and different already.
Miguel used those plants really effectively in this movie. My pain in the butt now is that I need to populate some 4 sq kms of land with plants and it is boring the hell out of me.

Thanks, everyone.
