Tip_dj no. 13 The outliner isolation: Make all connected to a group, then enter the group edit mode and make sub isolated groups. Open outliner and dragged your isolated selected groups to above top untitled area to Isolate Selection and when done editing drag back or explode if need. "EarthMover" - dukejazz "Isolate Selection" - Yes (Tip_dj) "Looking for a plugin that" - No, not a plugins sorry "will isolate whatever is selected in an isolation" - Yes "mode and conversely exit out" - Yes "isolation and bring back all of the non isolated items."- Yes "If possible, when exiting isolation mode, the tool will not affect any previously hidden geometry (geometry hidden prior to enter isolation mode)"- Yes "I think currently there are a few option to hide unselected" - Yes hide by context hide ", but to revert requires" - Yes select hidden by context _ unhide one to unhide all"- Yes select all and hide by context hide || unhide Results: "probably be quicker than via a script-TIG" My point, the outliner is very good tool to have open and to use.-dj

@earthmover said: Would it be possible to create a dialog window that shows the a running tab of the last 10 or so tools or plugins used and allow you to recall them? The $" array holds a list of every ruby script that was loaded by the require command, but those scripts are usually ones we only wish to load once anyway. (Which is the purpose of the array in the first place, require checks the array so as not to reload scripts that have already been loaded.) I say this because, the feature you desire would need a similar array, but it must have all files loaded by the load command, except those that are in the $" array. (Tricky because require passes it's file argument to load if it decides a script needs to be loaded.) I hate to think about this, but one solution would be to override load; not desirable because it's already been overriden by Google to handle the .rbsfiles. It may be better to create a new run command, that mantains the 'history' array and then passes the filename argument on to load. So the 'rule' would be if you want a script in the history, use run, if not use load directly. A webdialog could be made easily once the maintenance of the history array was solved. Heck.. even a Inputbox with a dropdown list would work, but a webdialog would be better (single click and it could remain open, the list could be updated continuously. An Inputbox would be 3-click, open it choose script, click OK.)

@unknownuser said: FWIW, I was being facetious about energy saving lightbulbs yes you were @unknownuser said: If you can't afford to heat your house 24/7, you put a sweater on. Poorer people, in my experience, whether they consider themselves green or not, know quite a bit about resources and how to save them, probably more than the average 4x4 driver in Chelsea admittedly, so was I @unknownuser said: Having an allotment is a great idea, as long as you are able to maintain its upkeep. My wife and I are both on fairly low incomes, we both work full time to pay the rather high mortgage on this house... If you want to spend most of your life growing food, and you have the time to do it, great! My situation is not so different to yours. I work a 40-50 hour week and my girlfriend works about the same. We have a mortgage too. I spend about an hour and a half a week tending to plants, once you have a good set up, the plants look after themselves. We do have a car, I agree it is a necessity, what provoked me is your belief that people on lower incomes are somehow more responsible, you have presented no facts to back this up. @unknownuser said: Do you not think that this forward thinking technology is not a good idea? It takes burning coal to produce a bicycle, and a lot of it too. If you want to cut back on industrialisation, Have I said anything about cutting back on industrialisation? @unknownuser said: you may as well stop producing bikes, because by this logic, the manufacture of bicycles are no different to cars. I'm not going to bother blowing a hole in that ridiculous argument. @unknownuser said: I don't really give a stuff about climate change. fine

v2 is now published.... The v2 rails AND the profiles can have any number of segments - the rail/profile with the most segments dictate the number of mesh facets... You can go down to only one segment in a curve if desired... but it will be automatically re-subdivided into the same number of pieces as its more segmented sibling... Keeping a pair of rails/profiles with the same segment count or simple multiples thereof will produce the smoothest mesh but any combination will work...
