I think the resolution is 370x500.
Its set at 37% of 1000x1350.

Did some bump mapping and looks like the
popcorn texture that is sprayed on
ceilings.

I can't see the update.
But the first image looks to me like much more than a rough sketch.

last week i had a similar task... in a quick sketch for a shop i had to visualise a upholstered piece of furniture, of course with curves. i decided to use a picture as the texture, since it was only shown half in the picture and it was just one small detail. worked out well in the picture. unfortunately i cannot show the full picture due NDA, but i guess it is safe to show the furniture.

Yes, this has no background, not a room.
Yes, I do need walls, base boards and doors for backgrouds.
Working on that.
