LuxRender is and will always remain free software.
@unknownuser said:
LuxRender is a free and unbiased renderer. The program is the result of the dedication of a loosely knit team of passionate people around the world.
Licensed under the GPL and free for both personal or commercial use. The program runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Fully functional exporters are available for many popular 3D packages.
LuxRender comprises an interactive user interface and exporters for various 3D programs, including Blender, 3ds Max and XSI. Additionally, a command line tool is available. For developers we provide a C/C++ API that allows embedding LuxRender into third-party applications.
More than just a toy or an experimental sandbox, we want to create a robust and high-end production renderer, directly usable by artists, with the tools and features they need.
SU2LUX.rbz is at RC6. There is also a standalone version of LuxRender.

Anyway, thank you for the link and heads up. I will give this a try. It's looks good.

The trees rendered very nicely. The lighting works perfectly. I'm not sure about grass, I wasn't able to look closer at it because of the image resolution.

Your render looks really good to me! Was it render locally or did you used a render farm? My local machine is really weak so for this type of jobs I normally use https://us.rebusfarm.net/en/ pretty afordable to me and it takes fast to another level, plus I get to work on my pc while it's rendering in there... if you used a local let me know your set-up!!

I am interested to know more about trees and grass. As they kill the Sketchup if they are models..
