    • RE: Backyard chicken coop to be built

Nice looking coop. A few thoughts:

Having those half posts scabbed onto the fence posts doesn't look too good; I think you'd be better off running them to the ground. And the one on the end, hanging in mid-air, is a problem. I'm assuming it is attached to the fence rail - I have a picket fence like that, and those rails do not offer much lateral support - adding that roof load to it will cause it to bow and probably pull out of the fence posts.

You might find it convenient to locate the chicken door between the coop and the pen close to the edge, so you can close it at night from the outside.

So, what will it be, Rhode Island Reds, New Hampshire Reds, White Leghorns, Plymouth Rocks, or some exotic breed?

Maybe we should have a subfolder under "most impressive Sketchup modeling" and have Ken post all his work there.

I'm looking forward to it. I'm surprised that creature in the first image wasn't CGI'd.

I was reading about this and they are trying to use more real models and less CG in this as well as filming it with real film and not digital. There will be CG but they did not want this to be all CG.

I wonder why "real film" and not digital? They are both nothing but a medium, but I would think digital would be so much easier for editing and distribution.

      Outstanding!
That's a picture of a car you photoshopped into your rendering, correct?

Until recently, my Dad had a restored Model A that looked almost exactly like that.

And, I would think that black smoke would leave it's mark.

Great modeling and rendering, as always, John.

Hopefully the damage wasn't too bad, and what was destroyed is faithfully restored.

Usual great stuff, Jason. The guy behind the bar in the fourth render seems out of scale with the bar height (or he's an exceptionally tall individual - maybe a former NBA player?).

    • RE: For Sale

Nice, Pascal. It has a painted effect - the tree leaves look like dabs of paint. Except for the rusted truck, which looks more photoreal. If you can get the truck to match the rest, it would be an improvement IMHO.

      Very nice, Mr. R.
Knowing how people tend to kick their legs back under a chair, those vertical pieces in the front must have been uncomfortable. He must have gone to the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Furniture Design ๐Ÿ˜‰

Talk like a Pirate Day is also in September. Imagine if the two were combined...it boggles the mind!

Looks like something I'd like, but it's just a tad too far from East Tennessee for me to go. Hope you have a great time.

Beautiful image, Novena. If there is one thing I'd fault you on, it is that there isn't a reflection of the person taking the photograph in the light fixture. ๐Ÿ˜†
