Thanks Rich. This is pretty much how I ended up solving it. I think the term individual had me thinking I had to do each prop individually, rather than selecting them all .

Well Fredo you can stamp Solved on this post. You mentioned trying to slow the speed down, and so I was experimenting to see if that worked. I inadvertently pushed the speed down until it went into the negatives ie: -90.00°/s, and that solved the problem, it switched from counterclockwise to clockwise. I didn't realize this, so chalk on up to inexperience. Thanks so much for you help. Dale

Thanks everyone for the replies. I realize the way SketchUp recognizes solids means that adding these walls precludes the volume from being recognized in the SketchUp world as solid volumes, but had hoped there was some workaround here. What I have done is as suggested, modeled 2 separate solid volumes. I'll be talking to the guy doing the energy calculations today. He uses several different programs, as well so maybe there is an answer from his side. I'm also thinking that just because SketchUp see's things this way, doesn't necessarily mean his software will, if I use a single skin separating partition wall with openings indicated. Thanks again, and I'll let you know how this works out.

My favorite comment from when this design went public back in 2011: “If you jump up and down in the eastern corridor does does that advance the playlist, and if you run clockwise, does that turn up the volume?”

@dale said: It's turning out to be a sad week. I actually feel the opposite when I hear of the passing of accomplished individuals. It brings into view their achievements once again even if for a brief time. What would be sad is if we found ourselves saying; "Man that dude is 473 years old and he has not done crap since his early 40's." Celebrate!

I have their site bookmarked, and pop over to see what's brewing every so often. I really enjoyed the work in this book, and having hand drawn a lot, I have immense respect for these artists.

I can't help but thinking the thought of immortality is intriguing. But, to be human,is to be a part of a cycle. That age old cycle concludes with death, and the evolution of your genetics embodied in your offspring. This would in essence put a stop to that cycle, and therefore evolution. Also, there are many "human" things that machines have not yet been able to emulate. So, although, it may be technologically possible for the avatar to become a repository for your "information", I can't see how it could actually be the "conscious" you.

About Thea biased presets; unfortunately there is still not much available, but if you can take part to Thea forums, you can get general and scene related help there really fast. If you are not familiar to photon mapping/final gathering - reading trough global illumination tutorial in Thea manual is a good idea. Then continue reading about Thea render settings (as with biased rendering one really needs to understand hows render settings effect to get the fastest possible render time for each scene); one can easily reduce render time to fraction with somewhat optimized settings. There is a new progressive render method Adaptive (AMC) mainly for interactive rendering, but you can also apply IR settings to scene and then use Adaptive (AMC) in darkroom rendering. For fast IR exterior rendering with Sun and Sky as main light source you can use settings like this: [image: rbPx_fast_AMC.png] If you have more complex light setup and/or interior scene (with many light source), then turn caustics on. (Apply settings to darkroom with the icon on far right to "General")

@solo said: I saw that on Facebook this weekend, very interesting, great result but it's a lot of work for one image, hope he charged the client enough. That was my impression too. I thought with good rendering software and less post pro you could achieve similar results, but there are some things that he is doing that could certainly be really useful. I still like what he accomplishes though.

Hell, stairs are so regulated here that all the stairways I really love could never be built here. Actually (good observation)when the house is built these will probably be a landscape element. No real excuse for omitting them

Another workaround I have used is to group the face, so that I guess it then replaces the stray edge, and then it will Pushpull. But,it is always frustrating when your flow is interrupted. The cntrl/alt key worked fine, but drawing the line as Sonder suggested sounds like a great idea as well. Thanks again
