well this can certainly come in handy.
Thanks Rich!

RE: Mugr
If I was still pounding out the "Thread For Fine Design" Rich, this definitely would have made the cut. Very strong sensual design!

RE: Not posted here in quite a while - Here's what I'm doing now
Great work Paul!
I was under the impression that 3dVista was basically for real life environments. How are you combining it with SketchUp to do your interior panos? -
RE: A home Office in a Square Metre!
Very nice revision Mike. In essence I think that both versions of the product design are viable. Very well thought out.
Off topic, but have you ever heard of Desall. They hold design contests, sometimes with very substantial prizes. I note this because they currently have a contest sponsored by a company called Sassi. It is for a modular furniture display system for children's books. Your work here on the modular desk reminded me of this.
Sassi Modular Furniture by SASSI
New *product design* contest on desall.com: Sassi Editore and Desall invite you to design the concept of a modular furniture system dedicated to shops and other shared spaces, which offers the possibility of composing areas with a display, play and educational function.

RE: Ukraine
Interesting Mike. Russia has expended a lot of energy on disruption through hacking.

RE: A home Office in a Square Metre!
Your doing some interesting design concepts Mike.
Alas... I too am claustrophobic. But I think you could do a claustro version by simply removing the end panels and have the shelves cantilever. If not, you could consider removing the panels above desk height.
I love the chair. Well thought out.

RE: Ukraine
Absolutely love this direct approach Mike. I agree, please post the contact info.

RE: Ukraine
I simply had to say something, so I composed this song and animated video in support of the people of Ukraine.
As a note, I used several SketchUp models in the animation (thanks Fredo for Animator) -
RE: Some advice please
Thanks Rich.
This is pretty much how I ended up solving it. I think the term individual had me thinking I had to do each prop individually, rather than selecting them all . -
RE: Some advice please
I didn't know how to do what you suggested, so I went in to try and find out. In the process I ended up figuring it out.
When I used the "Spin"- Individual rotation of each selected object, I was selecting one prop, then performing the rotation, then move on to select the next prop.
However this time I selected all the props first, then performed the Individual rotation, and it worked.
Really logical when I finally figure it out, just takes me a while sometimes.
Thanks so much for your support on this ntxdave.

RE: Some advice please
Yes, but when I do this all 4 props rotate in a large arc.
I don't have it Animator in front of me right now, but I have also tried the button next to the rotate button, which if my memory is correct, is for "rotating individual objects", but when I go from one prop to the next it seems to forget that the first prop was animated.
I'm quite sure it's me, not the software, but nothing I do seems to work. -
Some advice please
I am sometimes pretty thick when it comes to getting things to work in Animator, so I come for advice.
I have an airplane with 4 props.
I cannot for the life of me get each individual prop to spin.
I haven't been able to find a tutorial that fits this particular problem.
Can anyone offer advice?
Thanks -
RE: MouseDeckā¢ receives LOOP Design Award!
This is fantastic Mike. Really nice concept.
Please keep us posted on how the process goes to get it manufactured.

RE: Tiny House Attempt
Very well considered Mike. It is a real challenge to get all that is needed in such a small place. I think you have had total success.

RE: Tiny House Attempt
These aren't quite as tiny as yours Mike, but the idea of pocket neighbourhoods is worth a look. He also includes lot of fine innovations.

RE: Upgradable Autos!
It becomes a little more difficult when you exit to a more rural setting. In my area, even though there is a small town, most of the population lives in rural areas surrounding it.
This makes most transportation solutions that can be used in urban areas much more difficult to be effective. The Purple line in the attachment, is the Province of B.C. where I live.
This makes the idea of Upgradable Autos "Uber" interesting.
