I am still having problems with this plugin.

I have tried changing the resolution and FOV and still getting weird black lines as shown below:

      https://s28.postimg.org/521fh77jh/pano_test.jpg

I did try it on a lower resolution which made the lines disappear. However, I would like to create higher resolution images.

      Great work!

I would love to know more about how these were produced. When you say they are hand tinted (digitally) I have no idea what you mean.

Would be great to learn some more.

    • RE: Door schedule Layout 2013

I thought I would go through my method for window schedules using components, excel and tables and see if anyone has any tips to streamline the process. The method is similar to the one previously mentioned, however it uses the new table referencing in SU 2017.

      1. Build windows as components and place where you want them in the building.

      2. Create copy of component windows and place them (nicely lined up) somewhere else in your model. Create scene.

Tip: Be sure to place them where they will not obscure other scenes.
Tip: You can use a section line to cut out an area of the model in certain scenes. I have done this before when my copy of components was in the way of my elevations of the main building.

      1. Add dimensions and information into PHPP (This example was a passive house).

      2. Reference cells from PHPP spreadsheet into window schedule spreadsheet.

      3. Insert window schedule spreadsheet into LO drawing. (Make auto update as it takes no time to render).

      4. Insert SU model and select scene where you set up window copy components.

    • Vector / Raster not lining up

      Evening all,

I'm having problems with a couple of drawings. Never had this before so don't know what's going on:

My raster and vector lines aren't aligning in LO. Please see video for better explanation:

Does anyone know whats going on here?

    • Auto-sizing text boxes

My colleague has (rather explicitly) requested that I ask Sketchup why text boxes do not auto re-size when you increase text size.

He has a good point. I think this feature would save time when working through drawings.

It would also remove this annoying arrow:

    • Numerical Values for Fog

It would be quite useful for us to be able to enter fog numerically instead of having to use the slider to try and get the fog depths we need.

The values are sometimes very close together and difficult to make accurate.

    • RE: Tables in LO 2017

Unfortunately I am unable to share this excel file. However I can confirm that is a 6218KB file with many workbooks most of which are protected. I did try un-protecting them but still have the same issue.

I have got round this problem by referencing the cells I needed into a new excel file with just 1 workbook and referencing that into LO. Just means I have to have another file.

    • Tables in LO 2017

Thought we could go ahead and test the new Tables feature of layout which can supposedly reference a Microsoft Excel or google shreadsheet. I'm pretty excited about this feature as it will save alot of time with window schedules etc...

However, I am already having trouble with it. I am trying to import a large spreadsheet into LO 2017 and keep getting the following message:

      https://s22.postimg.org/9tvkuhcxt/layouterror.jpg

I am a Passive House designer and would find this particularly usful for inserting the PHPP spreadsheet into layout. However, every time I try, same error message, even after unprotecting the file.

Just have it in a right click menu would be a solution I think.

    • RE: @#$%^&* edit SU model reference in LayOut

I have actually been using the click though viewport feature recently, here is why:

So I have a load of internal elevations of a building set up in parallel projection so I can dimension etc... However, I want to also have a 3D view of the elevations. I therefore, just make a copy of the viewport change it to ortho, and line it up as I want.

This means I don't have to go back to SU and make another scene. Saves time and scene space.

Just lock it after. The feature is still useful.

Thanks for having a look Nick.

Whilst testing what you said I think I solved it!

Somehow the line at the lower ends were all missing. I'm not sure why.

I redrew the lines in place and it worked. Please see my video below:
