+1 @Rich Audacity is a fine cross platform application. For OSX users, XLD is a fine free app. (supporting DSD to PCM conversion, flac, apple lossless, wav, aiff, mp3 etc etc) https://sourceforge.net/projects/xld/

Hi Pixero Thanks a lot - I've passed on the info to my son. No doubt he'll speak Swedish by year end - we kinda can get the gist if the language since a lot of words are Germanic in origin. All the best Andre

Thanks TIG for the feedback - I eventually used a lisp routine to read the text and place it at the correct elevation, then I used another lisp to place a point at the text insertion followed by your point triangulation routine in SU and all done! Could be simpler if the surveyor just used 3d from the word go...

It looks great. My only critique is the ceiling cut off line. The photograph looks a lot taller without it (portrait helps a lot also). I would have even hidden it, if it was a problem. A bit of artistic license !

jonorman has a good suggestion if you want a plugin. However, you mentioned that you used the Drape Tool--not the Stamp Tool. Drape will conform to the terrain contours, whereas Stamp will modify the terrain as I indicated. EDIT: If you choose not to get the plugin, which does have a free version, one possible "quick fix" could be to make a careful selection of the road elements only, perhaps copy away to the side, use the footprint to help form a more regular pavement ribbon, make it a component or group, position it above your terrain and run the Stamp Tool.

Thanks for the feedback. Gaieus I've tried a number of these variations but without luck. It works for sections because the section line can be exported. Maybe someone will write a clever Ruby oneday...

Well, that's interesting. Yoy might consider removing the dark clouds over the building in the second rendering - my first impression was the building was on fire.

Hi Gaieus I've downloaded iRender and tried it with some models. The process is simple enough and it handles the section cuts but it takes forever to load the model in the renderer (65mb). I am way to impatient to see the first results.... For now I'll stick to native SU and Piranesi. Thanks for the help Andre

@thomthom said: @andre51 said: I managed to get a lisp routine to work in Autocad. You simply cross the contours with a fence line, input the lowest contour and the interval and the job is done in seconds. Thanks for the input TIG. By the way it is called chelev.lsp if anyone wishes to Google it. Sounds like a nice ruby plugin... That would be a wery nice plugin.

Very nice presentation Andre. Don't you just love parking lot gates? The last one I did with a solid yellow arm, and matching background with a black letters warning sticker on it. A little better then strips, or not!!!-)
