u can also use the "drape" tool for that, it comes with the sandbox tools (only SU pro i think) or this plugin. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=40481

Where your cursor is placed when you start orbiting is the center of orbit. If you keep the cursor on some geometry while orbiting, it won't disappear.

Thanks Tig, I was thinking about this item last night, you know you work at something for so long a time, then your mind goes to mush, and you can't think about it anymore. All that is needed is someone with a different approach, to add input. I originally wanted to use glass panels below the handrails, or between the top and bottom rails that make up the railing system. I will post a sideview later, so you all can se what I want to do.

Yes I see now. It should be instance.material=[r,g,b] not instance.material.color=[r,g,b] which I thought is what TIG meant in his original suggestions. After making that change everything seems to be working. I have attached a copy if anyone else is interested in trying it out. Exports/Imports component color info to/from .csv file

Thank you for yur helpful tips! It's a pity that this relatively simple action is not done correctly with the native tool, because it will often confuse beginners...

Well, I have no knowledge of web technology. I get the impression from this anomaly that the June signature is just a snapshot? note from the mists of time "any technology sufficiently advanced will appear as magic to the uninitiated"

Yeah, that's also what I am suspecting. And that's why looking into the file itself would be good.

DavidH Right hemispahere has a a product that works within MS Office. Deep View AKA SAP Visual Enterprise Viewer Complete Best, Charlie EDIT: Just discovered that the ability to generate 3D .pdf from MS Office Word & PP has been dropped in Deep View V7.0. Though it is not obvious anywhere on the Right Hemisphere web pages....actually to the contrary .......sigh. Apologies to those that played. Best, Charlie

Hi Maury, Not sure why you're getting that output. An arc will normally produce smooth corners not facetted ones (except for where it joins onto the straight edges) You'll normally only get all the vertical edges showing if you have exploded the curve before extruding the face. Anyhow, to solve the problem, just paint over all the vertical lines with Eraser whilst holding Ctrl down. Done! [Command on Mac OS]

Sorry, I was not paying attention on your OS (although this is one of the reasons we require these fields ) Anyway, you got it right now.

Cracked it. The objects which were behaving in the oposite way had been mirrored using scale -1. For some reason this makes the section planes act in reverse. Thanks Wo3Dan for your assistance. Cheers, Steve.
