Rounded corners, removing/hiding edges?
-
Sorry if this is a dup, I hit Save instead of Submit and things get really confusing from that point…
I'm trying to produce "line art" output, that is, no shading on the faces and heavy outlines on the edges. No problem, Window->Style and a bit of poking about.
However, one of the objects does not look right. I build this by drawing a rectangle, using arc to round the corners, and then extended it vertically with push/pull. The result is a box with bezelled corners.
The bezels look bad. Each bit of the curve is rendered as a heavy vertical edge. I know there's a way to simply this...

Hi Maury,
Not sure why you're getting that output. An arc will normally produce smooth corners not facetted ones (except for where it joins onto the straight edges) You'll normally only get all the vertical edges showing if you have exploded the curve before extruding the face.
Anyhow, to solve the problem, just paint over all the vertical lines with Eraser whilst holding Ctrl down. Done![Command on Mac OS]
