Slope down, for example for some area. So all the vertices could be on same level on that area.

Usually the autosaved file is stored where the original file is stored. You can search your disk for the "autosave" word. What I can say though is that sketchup 2014 kind of have a problem loading the autosaved file and it might have lost in the process..

Mcor has a very interesting printer. Here's one of my models made in paper on their machine. Feels almost like wood. They are expanding their presence like you mention, but as yet there are few services that offer Mcor printing to the public. [image: p7eo_IMAG0410.jpg]

Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated. Will have to convert the imperial data into corresponding Metric then....

It is indeed a very odd thing. I removed the length-snapping in the Units setting to see if that helped etc, but the box will rotate/snap into place, BUT not perfectly as there is always a ~3mm 'overlap'... I suspect it's a tolerance thing. The project is quite large, and very small and very larger geometry will always have issues... Deleting the large surface below the stadium changes the overlap to only ~2mm ! You also have a couple of components ['Gruppe#nnn'] in the browser that seen to have no geometry in their thumbnail - perhaps their origin is miles from the geometry - which can cause weir clicking and snapping issues...

Oh I see. OP types the height AFTER choosing the plane. Instead If one chooses "position camera", then type height of person's eyes above the surface, THEN click surface you don't need to add in the height above ground plane. That's how I do it.

I've also struggled with this in the past but as Dave says using layers is a major help. I design kitchens so the wall are always 'in the way' but you need them for reference. I now set up scenes with different layers turned off for placing mouldings etc. such as a birds eye view with the ceiling layer turned off. I also use Profile Builder(Pro version) a lot as you can lock the the axes/direction as you place runs of moulding- easier than drawing lines and using follow me tool

DMLS is usually used to make parts for rockets and high end cars where the cost can be justified, but they wanted to show on a smaller set of intricate parts what the capabilities are. Guns have to be manufactured to high tolerances, and those parts came out of the printer ready to use - no hand finishing required! To me, that really shows the power of 3D printing. I'd love to see what you get printed.

Star trek is quickly becoming a real fact by 3d printing; Warp Drives Proof; By James Cochran; page 1: Warp speed: So here we are '"Warp Drives", "Hyperspace Drives", or any other term for Faster-than-light travel is at the level of speculation, with some facets edging into the realm of science. We are at the point where we know what we do know and know what we don’t, but do not know for sure if faster than light travel is possible' I say Hyperspace travel can be done by two warp engine mounted simular to that of the star trek interprise. Now is light travel possible? -if I say no, we can stop right now, but if say yes than I must prove it. Frist my hypothesis statement that you can traveling faster than speed of light. Second hypothesis statement is my proof that I can prove it with elementry mathematics, with simple primitive geometry of space and with matter/energy of modern physicis. see page 2 next week
