Massimo , Was able to extract the .png file out the .skm file using SU material edit . Converted to RGB in Gimp. Have no bloody clue how to get the converted .png back into .skm ? Imported the converted image into a test model and it rendered fine. Thanks for your help.

Hi folks. The Guide Tools extension also provide a Point at Center for circles, among others, in contextual menu. The procedure would be to draw a circle centered where you want a Guide Point, add the Center Point for the circle and then delete the circle. The remaining Center Point is then the Guide Point that you want. Its much quicker to do it that to write this. Just ideas.

You can't get imagery and terrain from Google Earth anymore. It comes from Google Maps now. It has done since SU2014. The geo-location feature in SU2013 and earlier no long works, either. This was announced more than a year ago and is described here. I addition, you can no longer directly send SketchUp files directly to your local Google Earth and Google isn't accepting SketchUp models for populating Google Earth. Your profile is incomplete and doesn't indicate what version of SketchUp you are using but your screen shot came from a version of SketchUp earlier than SU2014.

I found the problem: the problem was that SubD plugin. under Extensions-subd-preferences ............... I have to uncheck replace push/pull tool

If you have to make a lot of revisions, it's generally best to keep the line styles as simple as you can.

I remember seeing a YouTube video from a guy using LOD trees in Blender Game engine. The video wasn't great but the workflow show lo poly tree generation.

Is that the only solution? I'm trying to avoid encasing, as my hierarchy is already getting out of hand
