That is the very basics of it. Depending on the model you might want to render them as Vector or Hybrid to get vector linework. If you have plan or elevation views you might want to set some specific scale. Maybe you need to add dimensions or other text or tables. There are a lof of options.

Hi TIG, thanks for the orientation. Since I am a neophyte in sketchup programming, I will need more a step by step help. If you could give the code to copy in ruby and specify where to put the Z value to select component. Is it made for edges or faces selection only or a whole component can be selected. Does it select all components above or under the Z value or the component that are on this coordinate? Thanks for more information, sorry not to catch at first pitch! S.

I had to ditch a LOT of older CAD stuff to make way but I finally got UE5 installed. It looks extremely powerful considering the price point and there is a definite effect to be felt in the industry when the dust settles but that has been asked before so maybe little will change. Habit rules us as much as anything else.

I'll poke Anton and see if he will update it so it is included. But Fredo's stuff and my Pie for SketchUp are. So if you purchase and validate a license for any of Fredo's stuff it will show up. ... what I purchased does not show up and I can't purchase any new, because I don#t use paypal Thanks anyway.

@mike amos said: I had previously installed as admin What exactly does that mean? You signed into Windows as the administrator? Or did you right click on the installer and choose Run as administrator from the Context menu? @mike amos said: Despite this pluigin being installed and looking at View - Toolbars, nada. Does the Extension Manager show it is installed? Did you try restarting SketchUp after installing it? @mike amos said: I might give it another go but frankly I went through the whole procedure five times and nada. There has to be something wrong in the way you installed SketchUp 2022 or it would have worked. I guess it's all moot though since you've decided to stick with 2021. Best.

Don't copy your extensions from an older installation of SketchUp unless you enjoy chasing loading errors. Some extensions require the proper installation method, some need to be updated to run in the new SketchUp version. Best to install them fresh from their sources. If you used the Sketchucation Extension Store tool to install extensions from here, install it first. Open it up and sign in. Then click on the gear icon at the top and go to Bundles. You can install the latest versions of the extensions in your bundle automatically without having to search for them all.

@juju said: I'm curious, why would SUPro2022 ask for a Classic License when it no longer supports it? There are some special cases in which SketchUp 2022 can be opened using what looks like a classic license. They don't sell those licenses of course but they can generate them for outside parties such as beta testers.

@dave r said: Did you catch the thing about the Tag tool? I did, but I have not found much use for it yet. But my models are typically not very complex. The way I use Sketchup is more reliant on repetitive tasks and a workflow based on muscle memory to speed the task of doing solar panel layouts on existing residences brought into 3D space from flat imagery. That's why the axis issue was such a hassle for me. A decade of doing things the same way is hard to change. I currently have over 6,000 Sketchup models created using the same repetitive process (except for the last infuriating change with the Add Location window that added at least 6 keypresses or clicks to my prior workflow). These changes have real implications for people. Software engineers sometimes don't consider how changes might affect users. But on balance, the continued development of SU and the addition of features over the years has been great.

I would use Curviloft by Fredo6. [image: bJQ2_Screenshot-3_28_202212_01_42PM.png] By the way, when you are drawing circles, get in the habit of dragging their radii out on axis. Yours seem to be dragged out in random directions when makes your work later more difficult. [image: FhoP_Screenshot-3_28_202212_02_34PM.png]

Hi everyone, I have figured out the issue - I did run out of space and had to move files to another hard disk before I could continue working on my Sketchup model without moving the file. Thank you everyone for your help! L
