My current machine is my Apple MBP running Windows10 in boot camp, it scores so badly in Lumion’s performance test that instead of warning me it apologised out of embarrassment It’ll be good enough to test Lumion though. Prior to me producing the above I’d never used Lumion 8 before so I’m quite pleased with what I managed to get done in 5ish hours sitting on my sofa at home whilst munching a pizza. I have had a couple of hours on Lumion 7.5 so I wasn’t a complete Lumion virgin The church model came out overblown simply because of the way I’d built it back in 2011, as it was an internal only model, I never gave the external walls/roof any thickness to keep the size down. Lumion doesn’t do double sided materials so it’s ignoring 99% of the surfaces that would normally block sunlight. I’m not bothered though as this it just a test, if it can handle that model on my MBP I’ll have no probs on a better machine. I’ve got 7 days to play with the demo so I’ll get more tests done and post anting I think is interesting here. Opps, forgot to mention rendering times, my MBP is an i7 with 16gb, it spat the above images out at 1920x1200 (I think) in about 3-5mins each, I think that’s damn fast to be honest, I also did a video of the house in HD res that it rendered in a similarly quick fashion.

This one will take some time as have my other complex ones. The one thing in my defense is that I try a harder and harder model each time. [image: 6Fpv_BrambahnDT33b.jpg]

Looks good, but I think there should be a little hint of halo on the objects from the incoming light through the window. Or not. It's one of those pictures that could go either way. Other than that, the interior looks good.

I have the same problem with my own website you see. My homepage shows small preview images of my projects and if you select one it takes you to that gallery, however the website does not compress the images and fetches the full size ones from my gallery so my landing page is over 18MB

I reckon Liam has a good chance with his entry, there is a good level of competition but hopefully he takes it.

It has promise, reminds me of places like the Tate modern gallery etc, definitely looking like you should finish it.

@serrot said: @daniel said: @serrot said: @ntxdave said: Very interesting use of a limited amount of property space. Thank you Daniel, I owe it to your teachings oh great one. not only is there a need for privacy but the wall on the right of the house needs to be a sound barrier, the neighbor has several dogs that yap day and night. I've a few neighbors like that - their dogs bark constantly the minute they see me or anyone else, and they don't stop! Your house also reminds me of the very first project in architecture school (also a house) which was on a lot bounded on three sides by 10' walls - the professor didn't want us to worry about context. I turned mine into a giant aquarium with part of the house under water. "great one" - I like that.
