My current machine is my Apple MBP running Windows10 in boot camp, it scores so badly in Lumion’s performance test that instead of warning me it apologised out of embarrassment 😕 It’ll be good enough to test Lumion though.
Prior to me producing the above I’d never used Lumion 8 before so I’m quite pleased with what I managed to get done in 5ish hours sitting on my sofa at home whilst munching a pizza. I have had a couple of hours on Lumion 7.5 so I wasn’t a complete Lumion virgin 😉
The church model came out overblown simply because of the way I’d built it back in 2011, as it was an internal only model, I never gave the external walls/roof any thickness to keep the size down. Lumion doesn’t do double sided materials so it’s ignoring 99% of the surfaces that would normally block sunlight.
I’m not bothered though as this it just a test, if it can handle that model on my MBP I’ll have no probs on a better machine.
I’ve got 7 days to play with the demo so I’ll get more tests done and post anting I think is interesting here.
Opps, forgot to mention rendering times, my MBP is an i7 with 16gb, it spat the above images out at 1920x1200 (I think) in about 3-5mins each, I think that’s damn fast to be honest, I also did a video of the house in HD res that it rendered in a similarly quick fashion.
