@Rich-O-Brien I put this offer to help on the old thread. I'm not sure if it will be seen, so I'm adding it here too: I would like to offer to help with work getting MSPhysics updated. I wrote the infamous plugin sph4bar in 2006 which models spherical 4 bar mechanisms. I also wrote GeoSketch, a plugin used by aerospace companies. In a previous life, I worked for Cadsi, where I integrated DADS (Dynamic Analysis and Design System) into CAD systems such as CATIA and Ideas Master Series. Now I am retired and have time to kill.

Thank you for the quick reply! Strangely the extension store told me all plugins are up to date, but only when I searched fir the plugin again it gave me the option to install the newer version. It's now working, much appreciated the quick help!

Hi there, thanks for this great plugin. And sorry for reviving such an old topic but I figured out it won't work if you have some annotation in your model (took me some time to find this out). The error occurs in copyEntities (around line 120 in the code) but I don't have the knowledge to modify the code to avoid such an unexpected behavior. Maybe someone here could improve the code ? Or at least point me on the good direction ? Even if I know nothing about ruby coding... Cheers and thanks for reading !

@TIG Maybe somebody can do something about it, because right now we have no option to convert construction lines to edges (the reverse it is possible, at least with Curvizard). I know only one option (DBur Guide Tools) but it can do only one line at a time....

@FlorinAp Don't manipulate the selection directly. Instead make it an array first... This will guard against crashes somewhat... selection_to_change = selection.to_a

In SU 2024, in a newly created and empty file, the first line (even formed from multiple edges) is not visible, only the second is visible, or if the file is not empty. I tested in SU 2023 and 2022, and this bug is only in 2024. Edit: It is a problem in my custom template that occurs only in SU 2024...! The problem doesn't exist with the same template in SU 2022 or 2023... I don't understand yet...

The only thing that's missing from this tool is that it doesn't see the grip points from the middle of the edges of the bounding boxes of groups/components, not for the objects you move, and not for the objects you move to. Maybe the API doesn't provide this information, but that would be absurd because those grip points are available in the SU native move tool, and you can cycle through all of them by repeatedly pressing the ALT key.

@simjoubert Hi, I would love to have a simple working extension that creates an isolated scene per selected group or component and I thought this might be it. But it seems to be randomly zooming instead of fitting the view to the component, and also there seems to be no control over naming the scenes. This extension seems very close to being very useful, would you consider updating it? Thank you
