The pc shut down just after re running that test. Will not boot at all, shows the chillblast splash screen and freezes. Luckily enough the old pc which also would not boot, did. Ordered asda bits so did A job. No rendering until chillblast get their fingers out.

@L-i-am Appreciated mate, thanks. I know of developments when I was looking which included a simple arm on a low friction bar at the tope of the unit, sorry but I cannot find pictures, it was thirty years ago though. I did this for giggle and kicks, no doubt if I were seriuous about it I would look up knew (Pun intended) methods. In short, you are correct. Keeping the orientation of the 'needle' will be difficuilt even in the example you posted. Thanks mate, I appreciate you taking the time.

@L-i-am said in new use for an old building: why you think it is a Science not an Art I think the end result is art. But the setup is science. Understanding material properties, lighting properties and even the render engine itself is science. Especially if the end goal is photo realism. You need to know about lenses, turbidity, rayleigh etc to fully get astounding results. When you get to the point where you are looking up how to get the N and K values from a IOR and convert that to RGB values its fair to say that's not artistic. The result of your attention to detail is artistic but also physically correct.

@Rich-O-Brien said in Raylectron depth of field test: Updated: @Bryan-K is it DOF or too much wine that's causing the blurriness. I like the last the best. How long are these images taking to resolve? Thanks! About 10 minutes.

@Rich-O-Brien The tree exist on the site and are size and species correct. so had to put them in for the client as they will be part of the aesthetic.

@jo-ke said: Beautifull render. I can feel the mood. Is it the Twinmotion moon? unfortunately the moon in twinmotion is to big, it should be a little smaler. I hope they will change it in future. I would add a little unperfection in the lamps, may be one or two a slightly rotated. Cheers jo-ke, good advice mate, It is a WIP though, there are many things wrong with it. I need to swap out the lamps and give them a bit of dirt. I need to space the lamps at a greater distance and make them less aligned and add a bit of rotation. Will replace the fence posts for smaller, slimmer cast iron pillars......................................... But thank you, I think the atmosphere is on point and worth investing more time with.
