Rocking Remus, Space is always good, so Jack bird bring that action. You clearly know all about the meat puppets, and their dark intentions. Our technologies are so utterly feeble... it's such a joke -- they will have their way with us in the end. Hope? Yeah, I drink a few tall boys and hope springs back into focus. I've warned about the pending interplanetary attack of the Grays back in the day, on the old sketch up site, and of corse often over on the AT boards many times (I've taken out those adds out on the local coupon rag), and yet my words seem to continuously fall on deaf ears (as we are all busy with our personal lives, making crap, and eating). This being the case, the truth is, without an honest dialog about prevention, we are doomed. Dig deep into your closets, basements, and garages, and harvest up all the old pornography you have stashed away, and have it at the ready for further instruction. Fill the liquor cabinets and be on the alert. Durant "behind the moon" Hapke

lapx, here's a few of the pieces and parts I used to compile the new image (copied from the original or a subsequent generations). The two main buildings were massed from the original, one with the center section cut out, the other with a center added in the other direction. The details were either built from stuff similar to the "bridge" pieces shown, or painted with the clone brush...lots of touchup after all was in place. The fence I did with photomatch in SU because vector drawing in PSP would have taken me a lot longer...only had to fudge the wierd perspective once in SU. The fence was brought into PSP in three layers (cut behind the rest where appropriate): the shadows burned, the fence multiplied, and the posts normal but transparent...then again lots of touchup. That help? Best, Tom. [image: ~KBIrenderTut.jpg] [image: KBIfenceSUweb.jpg]

You're a great artist Tom, the colours are very easy on the eye. It looks like a very large project, can you tell us more about it? At first glance your 'wharf theme' with the fountain looks a bit like a sewage outlet marker bouy with bell Then again you may have a different system of beacon and bouyage in your neck of the woods. The degree of list on it shows that there is a fairly strong current in that area. Can you tell us where it will be situated if approved? Thanks for sharing Tom, I think this is the place to be to see different achitecturel ideas from other parts of the globe. Thanks Tom, Bill.

Thanks, everyone The wrapper that was looking at when I made this one had liquor wine on it but you're right about it being whiskey.

@unknownuser said: That is one UGLY car! Looks funky though. I wonder what would happen if you'd do a 45 degrees corner with it at 50 miles per hour. Pretty hip in it's day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-Magnum Nice render.

The texture on that flashy green wall (bump map as well) needs scaling down. Otherwise a really good render.

Just Podium. The final for client is with Vray for Max (even more realistic) Realism is achieved with good texturing, lighting and imperfections. OT: If you ever need a design rendered let me know through my site linked below.

Fred, That first group is growing on me now....so I think you may be right about the texture not being the problem. Plus - I would love to have a little 1' high solid model of the "dinosaur rib cage" sculpture on my desktop! I would promise to turn it slightly every day so I would be able to peer into it from a different persective. Bytor

Simply stunning work, Tom! Your presentation certainly gives a "warm fuzzy" to me. I would think the style would really help sell the concept. Thanks again for sharing, John S.

Awesome work there fbartels, you wouldn't expect you could use Sketchup to create works of art, it just shows you the countless applications SU has. Have you ever printed or published any of your work related to these?

@majid said: frederik wrote : I assume that you've used the SU2KT when you originally exported this scene, Majid, right..?? If so, you should try to export it as OBJ and import it to KT, and you'll notice that the vase will be smoother... Reason for this being that SU2KT doesn't export vertex welding and smoothing surfaces will appear more angular. majid: thanx , good advise . i'll try the way Also with .obj export you can do loop subdivision in KT! Helps a lot with low poly SU models. I just wish that vertex welding issue would be fixed soon in SU2KT.
