Thank you gentlemen. Dale, that looks like a great resource. Looks like I'll be spending some time there.

Congrats on the design and the render. I think the planners were right - it looks better without the dormer that would have distracted from the delightful simplicity of it all. Nice to see as-built photos here. Anssi

@ben ritter said: The second model that is. What do you use for the best environmental settings to generate the real reflections? In the models the windows would be reflecting to nothing because behind the camera there is no model. It does bug me the texturing of the grass and the reflections in the windows. It seems that reproducting the natural items are more difficult than man made elements. Thanks

I worked on a Veyron for many months here and there back in 2007 and 2008. Got maybe 80% done and so many other things came up, I never got back to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV_FTFa6X-E [image: BV1.jpg]

Kristoff, Thank you as always. Pyroluna, Thank you for your comments also. Small windows are not a problem here, we have Electricity, flick a switch and the lights come on! its bloody brilliant stuff, we even have Gas if it gets cold. The reason for the tiling to the grass was a problem with Moles, anyway one dismissed that gardener after that little fiasco John

@dorfpunk said: ...In this case the sky is from here - http://www.gaieus.hu/su/Cloudy.style... And to give proper credits, (I think) it was Chris Fullmer's sky creation shared back on the old @Last Forums. And yes, certainly it's kind of "refreshing" to see some native SU output nowadays when we are spoilt with the abundance of rendering apps and rendered models!

@tadema said: James, thank you. Your comments are always welcome. TIG, thank you also. These are all modelled "by eye" from pictures I find on the web, the hardest part is finding something to draw. I’ve made a Tutorial that’s on James site but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to link it here. The old buildings have character and I love craftsmanship that went into constructing them, unlike the modern boxesof today; today’s tradesmen (I use the word lightly) couldn’t hold a candle to the old boys! It seems there all chasing the money now and no longer have any pride in their work. Regards John That's why my 60s lodge looks 'rubbish' and your lodge looks great !
