Big open spaces like this deserve dramatic lighting. I would actually nuke the tree and stick a gobo behind the camera to cast shadows. Looks good though Lighting will be key, good suggestion on the clay render for lighting. That is a very rough sketch to look at the composition so the tree does not have the application of maps on the leaves. On applying textures would I use projected textures, will the normal maps pick up on that?
