I'd be interested in the 3d RC detailing module. Are you going to market it for sale?

Thanks Stefan, nice comment, I'm glad you see it that way rather than over coloured. Bryan, my first stumbling attempts at rendering were back in april....it's still all unrepeatable guess work to me. In fact this thread should be in WIP not Gallery. Thanks John, yes it probably would, but for that I think I prefer to have the brush in my hand.

Thanks Allan, Bryan, Eric and Dale!! Just back from a 2 month break so big sorry for my lazy response! Luckily this was one of the easier ones I've done as the placed cube icons are so simple and descriptive!

No worries, Ken... happens alot. Just the architecture is from scratch, all of the furniture/etc is all downloaded in the interest of time. This definitely could've been knocked out in under 2 days if there weren't so many changes. Silhouette people are there to stay Otherwise, they get distracted and make comparisons to the actors, blah blah and lose focus on what they're supposed to be focusing on.

Hello Scott, before you jump into external UV mapping with two feet, learn to use SU's tools and the multitude of plugins available here! Take a look at Thom's fantastic plugins first. Download a few Containers from the wharehouse and see how people apply their textures John

Thanks ken and gubermensch! Just goofing around. Yeah, those crazy space cadets, huh? I was hoping for the glow to be more natural in Kerky, but that's all I got. I could bump up the internal lighting setting that I used, but, heh, it was just for fun to inspire me to tackle my next bigger project, the Rollieflex. I was a actually more concerned about the lighting interaction with the HDRI, so I was learning something new.

Thanks all! Ken, I'm a big fan of your work, it put any doubts of using sketchup professionally to rest. I love the transformation you made. Thank you for putting in the time to show me what's possible. I'm new to photoshop and find the tutorials online to be verbose and overwhelming, although I felt the same about Sketchup at one point. Looks like I need to put in a few thousand hours of tinkering. Thanks again!

Nice work marked001. I truly understand when you do a model for a client you don't always have an opportunity to make things perfect. The deadline is the deadline and the idea is to convey the point usually and not the just the image itself. May I ask what render-er you use? Or are you using just Photomatch?

Is it the details in the image or the story behind them that makes it interesting.... [image: ni3C_StillLightResize.jpg]

This is pretty cool. The grass function does work well. Nice rendering.
