I would also take the ceiling lighting down about 60% and see what the space would look like. I think you will like the results.

Thanks for your comments @notareal said: Interesting watch... now animate those ball-bearings great idea...except that's definitely over my skills I copied the band texture from the reference pictures (http://www.eone-time.com/images/clock-stop-motion.jpg) adjusted a bit to make it seamless and applied as displacement map on Thea default scratched metal material (bump map for the animation, since Presto doesn't support displacement mapping yet)

I didn't even notice the missing shadows in the first pics. An excellent render now made even better.

Thanks for the comments Richard, i have used shift lens along with 2 point perspective. However i don't always stick to straight verticals as a fixed rule.

@mike amos said: Nice one, I think the artifacts in the main blade you mention are just artifacts due to the sometimes skewed way sketchup handles geometry. I doubt your model is at fault in any way. The render comes out real nice too, Cheers mate. Yea, I was using subtract and the blade basically exploded. Softening resulted in an ugly face, decided to leave it. Thanks! @cuttingedge said: Wow super high poly for a knife. In reality tiny things are harder to model. But hey, nice clean modelling . If I have choice, I would have every piece of my model this detailed if SU can handle them. The file size came out to about 15mb. Definitely excessive in the poly department. @bryan k said: Holy moly! Thank you, kind sir!

Here you have a view of the model with a detail on the slabs. Some accesories & furnitures were added directly in Thea. [image: gYhl_02.JPG] [image: RFM9_01.JPG]

@tadema said: Hello agamemnus, I think you need to put a lot more work into the model, at the moment it's confusing. You state it's a research building but it has no doors or windows! no sense of scale so it looks like a big blue LEGO model. John It's to keep people in! Heh. Thanks for the input guys. I'll consider some doors/windows!

I love the textured render, really raw and hand-made looking.

@xonpt said: well, then i shouldnt have said anything, because you actually did what i said... my bad, sorry... lol but its weird how that spacing didnt cast any shadows even so, the images are great! Later I'll try to rerender this interior to fix mistakes. @mortenstorgaard said: Wow looks really cool. How much of the room was there when you started out (if any). Some solid work! Thanks for comment, Just one room was when I started

Nice Richard... But, I suppose no one ever told you not to share your million dollar ideas online before you patent it.
