@Mike-Amos said in Hot Rod: Are we going to see anything new from you sometime? Been thinking about posting some of the many historic one-off vehicles I have done. Did the only two remaining active sea tractors, both with very interesting histories. Here's a couple shots of the South Sands Sea Tractor [image: 1767228958262-2019-04-01_185212.png] [image: 1767229094789-2022-08-18_061411-b-recovered.png]

Perhaps a photomatch from a few stitched photos? Whatever it is, it looks good Less white on the façade wouldnt go amiss though, slightly blinding at the moment.

The only interiors will be the Bridge and the sports bar aft, where the tennis court is. I would do others but she is meant to go into VS and you have to be conservative on the polys unless you want to crash the game. Patrick,

Dzine, I can image it would be too hard (still have not ordered yet though). It is a matter of swapping out materials. The rest of it is done by Fry. Really doubt it is a matter of too good to be true as they do a great job with Fry and keep developing it. I will let you know as soon as we purchase it and I have a chance to play with it. Scott

You click on pitcher, then not so small anymore! Yes! Is true! As for the image being fairly dark, that's the idea. The lighting's pretty much done. Though I'm curious to see if I can 'liven' things up a bit by adding a studio hdr to generate reflections on the windows of the building.

@tina Yeah, unfortnuately DC's are not exportable as an animation. I could do a screen capture of the entire movie for people to see. But I'd rather they download the model and actually play it. I'm really trying to show off DC's, and it happened to be withint the context of a funny flick. Hopefully the next round of DC's (SU8 or maybe even 7.next) will give some improved functionality, like the abilt to export the animation somehow. Seems like it could be tied in to scene transitions or something. I've got my fingers crossed. @Gaieus Thats a funny story about Sang. Glad you got him a copy of the DC. I hope he sends it home to his mom to show hes a star in our eyes. teehheee Chris

I wanted the images to have a more dramatic look\mood and that's why i put the people and the sky in black and white to contrast with all the bright green around, didn't realizes that that could give a depressive tone to the picture...now i'm depressed...lol Thanks for the 50 degres in field of view tip. Always learning David

Those look like they would be hard to see through You might want to make sure they are transparent (at least a little) from the back side. Also maybe put them on a desk or something. They look a bit weird floating in thin air. Scott

Trick of the camera. I used a pretty extremely camera angle for all of the renders. Scott

Fantastic work with a great attention to detail. This is a great representation of native SU output. Scott

FRV, I think some of the confusion with Hypershot is that while it is always rendering a "preview" render, there is still an option to make an actual render as well. A lot of what people talk about when it comes to the speed of Hypershot is the speed of the preview render and not an actual render. When you talk about the time it took for your model to "render" I am sure you were using the render settings and not just waiting for a preview render to clean up. As a user of Hypershot for a while now I can tell you unless you are using a pretty big machine, be very careful as to how high you run the render settings. If you take them to high the render times will go through the roof. While I like Hypershot for doing some renders it is not the right tool in my opinion for all renders. Hypershot was originally developed for the automotive industry for doing studio renders of automobiles. While it does render amazing studio renders it is not the best tool for doing exterior renders of architecture for example. Like any piece of software it has its place and time to use it. I agree with people that it is amazing and the preview render is really quick it just needs to be made clear that the vast majority of what we see are "preview" renders and not actual renders. Scott
