[To be read as a Movie Trailer Announcer]
On the night that SketchUp 7 was being released, Bryce and Sang were playing some celebratory Ping Pong. Both were ecstatic about the release, but for different reasons...

Scott Lininger of Google said "Fantastic! ๐Ÿ˜„ "
      "Comic Genius" - Pav_3j
      Gaieus said ๐Ÿคฃ
and Bryce, the co-star said "That's hilarious! Someone already picked it up on sketchucation and passed it around the whole team. I doubt Sang will be offended."

Rated PG-13 for sequences of intense ping pong, witty dialog, and comic impaling.

Use the Interact Finger to click on the plaque that reads "Click Here to Play" to watch the movie.

I had a lot of fun making this!

      Chris

PS. This is also posted in the DC forum to show off its DC abilities, but its a much larger project than just a DC. Its really a movie within SU so I thought I'd try to contribute to the gallery with it.

I've not used the interact feature, I'll look into it.

The interact tool is new with Dynamic Components (DC's) in version 7. It is the icon that is a pointing finger. It allows you to interact with DC's. In this case, the entire model is pretty much a big DC with a bunch of things that happen from a single "interaction". I hope you like it,

Thanks for looking at id Dave!

As the DC shows, Sang is facing serious flood of abuse the next year(s). Funnily, one of the the first abuses he received was by this forum. Soon after he registered here (and we could greet him in the Ruby forum) we had that server crash and he was one of the ~150 victims who were "deleted" by the backup restore.

So he must have heard his ping pong game here and I received an email from him saying he cannot log in. I explained and - as a bonus, in exchnge for the inconveniences - I sent him a copy of it by email.

              Hopefully chimes in soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

LOL, that was funny. Very cool that DC's are working within an animation. Does it export? I'll give it a try.

@tina Yeah, unfortnuately DC's are not exportable as an animation. I could do a screen capture of the entire movie for people to see. But I'd rather they download the model and actually play it. I'm really trying to show off DC's, and it happened to be withint the context of a funny flick. Hopefully the next round of DC's (SU8 or maybe even 7.next) will give some improved functionality, like the abilt to export the animation somehow. Seems like it could be tied in to scene transitions or something. I've got my fingers crossed.

@Gaieus Thats a funny story about Sang. Glad you got him a copy of the DC. I hope he sends it home to his mom to show hes a star in our eyes. teehheee
