No, it's a Sketchup exporter to Vue. Just upgraded my PLE to 2014 Vue. it seems a bit faster and more stable, has navigation customization. other than that have no played much.

    LumenRT 2015 is fully compatible with SU 2015. Just copy the plugin over from 2014 to 2015: "C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins\LumenRT 2015.rbs" "C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins\LumenRT 2015.rbs"

Iv had great fun readin this one. Don't know how i ended up here, but im searching for what render software to go for so thats the reason. From an pleb as me comming in and reading this its very funny. Cause from what i can read here and from what i found elsewhere in my search is that there is so many prefrences to set to get it right. Some have prefrences that others don't. And that can be both good and bad in my opinion. Thats why all programs have defaults. And what is the default? well that can be a lot. And from my point of view here. And this post made me think. Cause many renders look at it with a camera point of view. The idea of you taking a picture of something "real". While lightup in my mind looks at it with a human point of view. Humans don't have the same shutter speed as a camera, so we have a hard time capturing what a camera can do. Both are kind of wrong and right, right? You can't compare a human to a camera I think this is more of a argue about default and standard. Thea which i think i will go for btw has a setting as a camera, but it should be easy after this thread to set the "camera" to act like i as a human see the world, thus showing of lighting in scenes to client as they will in real life. Like my profile picture. it capture a moment of me driving, but its just impossible to redo that picture standing still. i would just fall to the ground.

The video is correct the only difference is that on a Mac the Preferences is in a slightly different place. @unknownuser said: Select Window > Preferences (Microsoft Windows) or SketchUp > Preferences (Mac OS X). The Preferences dialog box is displayed. Click on Extensions. The Extensions panel is displayed. Click on the Install Extension button. The Open dialog box is displayed. Locate the Ruby zip file to install (.rbz). Click on the Open button. You just need to download the .rbz file and install it using the preferences dialog. Don't put it in the plugins folder. Also be aware that the location of the plugins folder has changed with SU2014. I'm not a mac user so I can't tell you where it is, but it may explain your issue with other plugins not working correctly. It would help if you filled in your profile too.

Yeah, the characters are just horrible. Wish they had a character studio where you could quickly customize them and then load various BIP files to make them do what you want. What am I seriously going to do with that push up guy???

Yes! small objects that are processed by native tools [e.g. FollwMe] OR plugins making meshes etc can fail to make tiny facets, if they would have edges <1/1000" long. SketchUp's in-built tolerance assumes the two point specified for such tiny edge's ends are coincident. Therefore the tiny edge is not make and the face that needed it fails to be created too. If you Scale your original object up by say 100, then the smaller facets will still be big enough to get made. Afterwards you just Scale back down to the desired size. The tiny facets will survive that Scaling down - tiny geometry can exist - but SketchUp can't create it initially.

@adamb said: Hi Kris, On Windows, the installer checks what version of SketchUp you have and sets up the initial Installation Folder. So if you have SU2014, then it will be set to *C:\Program Files (x86)\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014* If you have SU2013, then it will be set to *C:\Program Files (x86)\SketchUp\SketchUp 2013* and so on. You can of course edit this install location to wherever you like, but the default is based off where you installed SketchUp. Adam You might think of adding this as a text description or a tip on the installer. When I install 64bit My system is defaulting to program files 86 base folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\ and no sketchup folder. I have 8, 13, and 14 installed.

I have downloaded and I am playing - quite fun - just wondered, Solo especially as your playing too, if you had managed to alter a dynamic material to show bump map? I was trying to make parquet floor - on finding the advanced materials i managed to import my floor material ok - got a reflection but couldn't get that reflection to work with a bump map - it stayed smooth and reflective even though i put various textures into the bump map slot. any luck cheers chris

1 - I you will have more luck asking questions on the Maxwell forums 2- I think the image is based on your render output settings. If its set to a hi res and the preview is still small, I think there might be a keyboard command to zoom in, check the PDF manual.

Please download the latest version [v2.6.1] of the SketchUcation PluginStore RBZ from here: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=SketchUcationTools Then use the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button as explained before... and restart SketchUp to ensure the changes are set up properly... Any luck with it now ? The PluginStore dialog being blank is probably result of some Internet Explorer interaction or settings... SketchUp's web-dialogs always use IE on PCs - even if you prefer another browser for normal web-use... You should update IE to the latest version - because if you have say IE8 or 9 it can cause issues. IE11 is the current / best version. In 'About IE' also tick 'update automatically...' It might also be a 'cache' issue. In IE clear its cache - Ctrl+Shift+Delete - or via the Safety menu item. Then reopen the PluginStore dialog - you might have a corrupted cache, so it could now work. Also can you open the Ruby Console and type in this + <enter> SCF::TEMPDIR What do you get as the result ? Any results ??
