Add a sheet material word to the component definition name. i.e. MDF, sheet, plywood, etc. Or add a new sheet material word that your components already use such as 'panel' in the first page of the CutList UI. Remember to save the settings. Or you can add a material to the components which has a sheet material word in its name. You can modify a simple color's name if you don't want to have actual materials applied. Any of those options will get the parts to show up in the Sheet Materials section instead of the solid wood components section.

It would be easier to give you a definitive answer if the LO file was available but we'll try without it and do the best we can. The typical reason is that the viewport has been modified from the original SketchUp scene. This happens with you open the viewport and orbit or zoom the view of the model. You can tell the viewport has been modified by the addition of [Modified] in the scene name displayed in the SketchUp inspector when the viewport is selected. Select the unmodified version of the scene from the list and it should update. Best practice is to avoid creating modified scenes in LO. Another possibility is that your SU file is not linked to the LO file any longer. You can determine that under File>Document SetUp.

Why is the drawing size 371.44" by 236.14"? Seems to me that would be a pretty big molding profile. Or a clue as to what the problem is. It would be helpful to see the SKP file.

I don't know exactly what the problem is but a couple of things come to mind. The first one is that the Permissions for the Plugins folder aren't set to Read and Write. Another is that you've got some plugin that is conflicting with CutList. Make sure you have some value in the box for saw kerf size. Why are you still running 4.1.5? We're up to 4.1.8 now. If you switch versions make sure you delete the older version and its folder first.

Go into the Edit tab of the Styles dialog, click on the blue cube icon for Modeling settings. Untick the boxes for Section planes and Section cuts. Then click on the thumbnail in the upper left corner to update the style.

Complete your profile, please. Next, find an example image of what it is you are trying to do and post that. If what you are trying to emulate was shown on a PC, you can't do the same thing with the toolbars on Mac. They don't work the same way.

Hi Zain The native SU importer only imports geometry - not any other, annotation entities. Try this plugin to see what else it can import: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23002

If you already have a face shape that's part of something else... select the face and Edit>Copy. Now edit another component/group [make it if you need to] and Edit>PasteInPlace the face is duplicated inside this other 'container'. Now you can push pull it in that edit as desired and it's separate from the original geometry. If you want yo 'remove' the original face from its original context and put it inside a component/group you can select it and make the component/group from it and a 'hole' will be left in the original geometry. You can also use Edit>Cut + Edit>PasteInPlace on a face [do not select its edges as that might affect other geometry unexpectedly] to 'move' it into a new container, rather than replicate it...
