Yes, updated the slaves as well. I reported the bug and Ted said that it was reproducible, so beware when rendering using DR.

VR2.0 Crashes with 2016
Anyone else upgrade to the new 2.0 in 2016 this weekend and now getting crashes? Seems to only crash when DR is turned on?

RE: Can Vray Sketchup better with GPU render?
The only way to use GPU to render with VRay is RT and from my experience, RT is still pretty buggy in 2.0
I would invest in a better processor with more threads. i7 at a minimum.

Ok - that's a new feature for my UV plugin then...
Was this ever implemented? It's something I face quite a bit.

RE: Vray render problem
1 - Version of SU and VR used

3 - Are you using displacement? -
RE: SP3 and 3.0 Email - Rumor Control
Hopefully, it's a full implementation of 3.x that's in Max, so maybe we will see stereoscopic camera and dare I say Fur?

RE: SP3 and 3.0 Email - Rumor Control
Very interesting! So based on what we are seeing here we are looking at a totally new plugin, built from the ground up, a new UI (looks very sexy), incredibly fast load time at startup, and 40% reduction in parsing times. Can't wait to take it for a spin one of these days.

Edit - I guess we should also add that we will lose 10 render nodes for none with a standard license, which is the way 3.0 for Max went. They market a license as having a floating node with it, but take note, that doesn't mean you get your workstation seat and a render node, you cant use both at the same time. Although, the VRay Cloud might be an end-all to the DR system anyway.
Now we wait... and wait... and wait.....

RE: SP3 and 3.0 Email - Rumor Control
As far as I know, we are only on SP2, correct? What's all this SP3 talk? Are these guys making this crap up or is it just a marketing ploy?

SP3 and 3.0 Email - Rumor Control
Hopefully Chaos can shed some light on this since we have heard nada about even a beta of 3.0 VRay for SketchUp. I just got this email that is offering a free upgrade to 3.0 like it's in the very near future or something? What gives?

RE: Twinmotion 2016
Twinmotion 2016 and Lumion 6 came out on the same exact day. Competition much???

RE: One click animation export with Vray render?
You could always pay $5K for the new Lumion, that will do a decent job of one click renders.
-
RE: One click animation export with Vray render?
There is no 1 click solution because every scene's requirements are different and the resolution of the export and location that you export the stills into all need to setup. Just go through the steps in the video, it will be a good learning experience and next time you do it, you will go through it quickly.

RE: Select Tool ABDUCTED!!!
Space bar is very worn down. I have totally customized all of my keyboard shortcuts. For some reason I just always click this icon to 'clear' everything as I work. Weird I know but fighting a decade of habit.
Rest All brought it back! Thanks BOX!!!

Select Tool ABDUCTED!!!
Not sure how this happened, but the select tool disappeared from the Large Tool Set today. I restarted SU, restarted my workstation, repair installed 2015... no avail.
This is a weird one.

RE: Translucent model take ages to render.
Yes, has to have thickness and you have to play with those fog values. A little goes a long way. Its honestly going to be the only way to achieve what is happening in that image. You will never get that effect from a transparent diffuse material. Maybe you can fake it with a bump? Not sure.

RE: Translucent model take ages to render.
What do you mean when you say you are using SketchUp version 2? I assume you are on 2015 64 bit SketchUp?
You will want to make the material 100% transparent, add a refraction layer with glossiness set to something like .85 and then add Fog color to create the color of the material.

RE: Curving a texture for arches?
Worked out awesome. Fredo and TIG save my butt again! Amazing work from the plugin people.

Thanks a bunch. I'll give it a try.
