Thanks Gai. I have been playing around with Layout a lot this past week. It's pretty cool.
In Layout under Edit - Preferences - Applications you can choose your default text editor. Two questions:
I watched the wonderful Layout tutorial by Jason Maranto again yesterday. He touched on this briefly.
Thank You,
Paul
Gai....Very nice! Going to try that.
Chris....Never heard of that before. Will check it out. Thanks to both of you.
I am trying to illustrate hot air flow as shown by the translucent orange color. The second picture shows something similar - but not quite - of what I am trying to achieve. Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated.
Yes, I can see where such a script would definitely be a hit. Just got the older version of Housebuilder working (with no beeping?). Such a plugin would compliment it tremendously.

TIG,
What a great explanation!!! That post should be in a sticky somewhere on the forum.
Manaquari,
Please let us know how it turns out. I'm certain if I had to learn Shapebender before morning I would be back to flipping bad burgers at Buck's Burgert Barn. Good Luck!!!
Excellent video bmike!!! Thank You very much for sharing your workflow. I learned a lot.

I've been to five stores in this Louisiana heat looking for 5mm machine screws - 30mm long, and haven't found any. Had to order them and it will be next Friday before they arrive We're a long way from metric around here.
Mr. Didier,
I'm not bugging you for an Imperial version . Just bumping the thread
Also, to those who have used this plugin. Can you create a realistic cutlist from it? I don't really have a use for it right now but I know there will be a day.
[off:3mk4hcm1]BTW I'm working in a Sawmill right now drying 135,000 bd. ft. of 2x6's in one kiln and 66,000 in another [/off:3mk4hcm1]
I would very much like to have it if it makes rope. I tried it but got results like Dave shows in the video.
In the newspaper yesterday they announced there are $26 Billion dollars worth of captial projects to be invested in locally within the next ten years. All of them will be new plants within the Oil & Gas industry. If my aspirations to get into the training documentation/visualization field are ever to be realized, it is now.
I would like to know if any members of the Sketchucation community has any experience writing training manuals or creating documents within this type of environment? Even a small slice of that pie ($26B) would be nice.
Text justify is a much needed feature for PC Users. I use a fair amount of text in my documents and not having justify limits my options for text block placement at times. Also, it just looks more professional to me. Thanks
Thanks Sam. Working nights now but will give Comp String another shot on my next day off.
