So you´re saying that it´s not possible to import .3ds files directly with the free version?

RE: Stone Sculpture
I like it.
How heavy was the file size? And could you please zoom out a bit, I would like to see how his hair looks like
Also, thanks for reminding me of headus tools. -
RE: How to Create a Wrecked Car Model
Hi,
Such wrecks have irregular shapes and sharp edges, so I think that you can give it a shot with the Sandbox tools - something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcbIZFn6-mQ
As for plugins, Fredo´s Joint Push Pull may come in handy to thicken such irregular surfaces: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=6708 -
RE: Texturing problem
Thanks for the info, guys.
I gave it a quick shot with SimLab Composer, it shows up as two separate parts, but it doesn´t seem to affect the render that much. -
Texturing problem
Hi, everyone
I am probably missing something very obvious, and I apologize for being lazy to search the forums, but I am really getting stuck here and could use some help.
I was trying to add some details on an old airplane model by projecting textures onto a particular section (like nose art).
I used to think I am familiar with the workflow - I drew a face, painted it (0037 Sandy Brown) then Make Unique Texture, Edit Texture Image, etc.
But why is it that every time after I save my work in PS, the RGB value changes as soon as it is updated and I cannot seem to change it back?
It really looks odd compared to the rest of the modelThanks in advance!

RE: Minas Tirith Rebuild
Quite an ambitious project! I don´t dare to imagine the size of the completed project - probably several hundred buildings plus rocks
Impressive work, will be following with great interest! -

Hehe, I have noticed it in the image´s URL.
However, this name is quite confusing: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/829/bazen01jebenica.jpg/ -
RE: Military vehicles rendered with V-Ray
Great job, shareck - details like weld seams and tow cables really add a touch of reality.
Did they add significantly to the file size? -

Our only nuclear plant (producing around 40-45% of the power needs of the nation) is about 100 kms away from me (and the wind generally blows in another direction) so I am not worried about tsunamis either.
Well, tsunami is the only thing that could shake things up in my godforsaken city. Otherwise we´re at the serious risk of dying of boredom
