Great model - lean and mean. I would love to take her for a spin sometime. Looking forward to those Vue renders!

Nice to have you back, Ken. It's always a pleasure to see such a wonderful work!

RE: Wrapping
I guess you are talking about Circle On Surface and Joint Push Pull? Have you actually tried to intersect two elements?
Also, a screenshot would be nice -

What do you mean by intersecting?
This for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ax9HY06PB8M

RE: Wrapping
You´ll have to intersect in with another cylinder to "drill" a hole in it, if I understand you correctly.
I can see you´re a pro user, and SU8 pro comes with the Solid Tools set, so you might want to take a look at Dave´s blog http://www.finewoodworking.com/item/31103/sketchup-8-pro-a-look-at-some-of-the-solid-tools for some more info. -
RE: Zsolnay
Now, it may be far OT, but I remember reading somewhere that you intend to model your whole city for Google Earth by 2010 (when it became the European Capital of Culture). I really don´t know how far did you get with your work, but the mere idea is worth saluting.
Not to mention the effort you put in such reconstructions.I have to admit, I used to have similar plans with my home town, until I realized it´s far beyond the realm of my abilities. But I´m still planning to reconstruct Diocletian´s Palace in 3D. It may be less severe delusion.
Now, where is that hilly street you used to race down?

The Kerky forum is wrapped into a frameset or what so you cannot link to a topic by copying the URL
I´ve noticed that - so I tried to link to the topic "manually"
Hope Meike wasn´t too confused. -
RE: Please help... :S ( British Museum roof structure )
Hi,
Found this in my bookmarks folder - might give you an idea of accomplishing that with SDS ( Artisan)

for me it's important how to use the materials. Where do I have to place the zip-files in the sub-folders to use the materials in Kerkythea it selfs ?
Hi,
You might find this useful: http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=76
Search Kerkythea Rendering System Forum Index -> Tutorials -> How do I download/install materials? -
RE: Borders Themed Moleskine
You certainly deserve all those nice comments. Great work, really.
Thanks for the heads-up on the SkineArt site. Lots of interesting stuff there. -
RE: Austin Seven
Please dont´t tell me the one about "totally alien type of modeling" again.
Last time you tried something like that, my self esteem was completely eroded
Great work! Perhaps you could use more segments on the wheels? Which rendering engine btw ? -

RE: This is some of my works
Aaah..water jerrycans. Hope they´re properly insulated
Very imaginative work! -
RE: This is some of my works
Jerrycans? What fuel does that Mars vehicle use?
Seriously, interesting concept. Looks like you have paid more attention to curved parts - they look quite segmented on your previous models. -
RE: Recommend Plugins
It all depends on what kind of work you´re using SU for - if, for instance, you´re not interested in organic modeling, than you probably won´t need Artisan.
Getting to know SU native tools first would be a good start IMO.
Anyway, you might want to take a look at this topic: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=16909 -
RE: HMS Victory 1765
This is beautiful piece of work! And unbelievable fast one also - I can hardly keep pace with it
Are you by any chance thinking about adding sails?
